We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel – an in-house generalist who owns legal projects end-to-end, from framework design down to forms and filings and ensure that legal work is implemented effectively in day-to-day business operations. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: - Act as a legal generalist and key partner to internal teams – compliance, operations, finance, technology - Own regulatory implementation projects: internal policies, compliance frameworks (including DORA in Malta), ongoing regulatory reporting - Lead legal side of new market entry: entity setup, licensing, engagement with local regulators and consultants - Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including complex non-standard contracts in new markets - Advise on employment and HR matters across multiple legal entities, including labour law and employment-related contracts - Manage external counsels where specialist advice is needed WHAT WE LOOK FOR: - Qualified lawyer, 7+ years of experience – in-house, law firm, or both - Experience in a regulated or licensed business is a strong plus - You handle a wide range of legal matters independently and to deadline - You enjoy long, process-heavy projects – the result is a clean, compliant operation, not a headline deal - Advanced user of modern AI tools; you use them daily - Clear communicator - you explain complex things simply WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN OUR TEAM? - Real ownership of your projects, short decision lines - Fully remote from anywhere in the world - Multiple jurisdictions, genuine variety of legal work - AI-native team, no outdated workflows - 40 paid days off, competitive compensation Not a perfect match on paper?
