How Hirq works

From employers' own job boards. Most companies publish their openings through an applicant tracking system such as Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Recruitee, Personio or BambooHR, which offer public listings for exactly this purpose. We read those boards every few hours. We don't scrape LinkedIn or Indeed, and we don't accept paid or third-party listings.

It's the number of days since we first saw the posting on the employer's board. Many sites show a “posted” date that resets whenever a job is refreshed. Ours doesn't. When an employer's own date is much newer than our first sighting, we flag it as “Date refreshed.”

When a company removes a job and later opens a new posting with the same title, we count it. Repeated reposts can mean a hard-to-fill role, a pipeline the company keeps open, or a job that never gets filled. It's a signal, not proof. Use it to decide how much time to invest.

Pay comes from the employer's published range when the board provides one, or from the range written in the description. Remote, hybrid and visa labels are detected from the posting's text, and we show the sentence they came from so you can judge for yourself.

When you add your resume, we build a profile of your target titles, skills, experience, location and pay. Matching runs in our own code, not through paid AI calls, so it's unlimited. Each job gets a score for title, skills, level, location and pay, and we show the reasons and the gaps.
