Staff Engineer (Ingeniero Staff)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Engineer (Ingeniero Staff) based in Brazil. This is a senior individual-contributor role with organization-wide technical influence across complex product and platform initiatives. You will shape architecture, engineering standards, reliability practices, and technical strategy across multiple teams. The role remains deeply hands-on, with regular production coding, design work, reviews, and technical problem-solving. You will work across services, APIs, data models, event-driven systems, and shared platforms to solve high-impact engineering challenges. A major part of the role is multiplying engineering impact through mentorship, technical design, and influence without formal authority. You will also help guide incident response, technical investments, and long-term decisions around scalability, security, and operability.
