One Force.  Job Summary  You will own security and compliance engineering across Knightscope's product portfolio as part of the new centralized Engineering Services function. This role brings together previously fragmented work: Signals SOC 2 and SSO, facial-recognition compliance, and platform hardening baselines, under a single dedicated owner. Federal-grade and defense-market compliance work is handled by a separate Compliance and Federal Security Engineer role coming online in Wave 2.  Location: ONSITE - Sunnyvale, CA About the Role  You will own security and compliance engineering across Knightscope's product portfolio as part of the new centralized Engineering Services function. This role brings together previously fragmented work: Signals SOC 2 and SSO, facial-recognition compliance, and platform hardening baselines, under a single dedicated owner. Federal-grade and defense-market compliance work is handled by a separate Compliance and Federal Security Engineer role coming online in Wave 2.  Key Responsibilities  - Own SOC 2 evidence continuity through the Signals vendor transition.  - Own SSO, identity, and access-management engineering across programs.  - Own facial-recognition and biometric compliance work across the portfolio.  - Partner with the Signals Security SDET on testing frameworks.  - Partner with DevOps and Platform on hardening-by-default patterns.  - Coordinate with the Wave 2 Federal Security Engineer on scope hand-offs.  Required Qualifications  - 7+ years in security engineering with compliance program experience.  - SOC 2 program experience (evidence, controls, audit response).  - SSO and identity engineering hands-on experience.  - Comfort operating across multiple product teams simultaneously.  - Strong written communication for compliance and policy work.  Nice to Have  - Facial recognition or biometric compliance context.  - Prior experience in security-first product companies.  - SOC 2 audit lead or program manager background.  Compensation and Benefits  Base Salary: $170,000 to $200,000 (DOE)  Equity: Stock options  Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off  Location Requirement: Full-time, on-site at Sunnyvale HQ
