SUMMARY
The Residential Connectivity Consultant will walk or drive neighborhoods and/or rural areas to prospect for new residential customers daily within the United Communications footprint in the following counties: Bedford, Franklin, Giles, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marshall, Maury, Moore, and Wilson counties. The Residential Connectivity Consultant will be interacting with prospects at their door, driveway, or in their homes to offer internet and phone solutions plus add-on products. The Residential Connectivity Consultant will also be interacting with prospects and customers at local community events.
This is a door-to-door sales role with a monthly sales quota. Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. That means there is no limit to what you can earn! This is a 40+ hour per week salaried position with full employee benefits.
Required commute to an assigned territory each workday.

This is a door-to-door sales role with a monthly sales quota and requires commuting to an assigned territory in Middle Tennessee each workday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.
- Assess prospects' needs and qualify them based on their internet, phone, and streaming television service requirements.
- Conduct cold calls to residential addresses, build relationships, and follow up with interested prospects via email and text after visits.
- Build and maintain knowledge of the assigned territory and establish relationships within the community.
- Present United Communications’ solutions to potential customers, address questions, overcome objections, and close sales.
- Strategically plan territory coverage and manage the sales pipeline to ensure consistent performance and growth.
- Represent United Communications at local community events in assigned territory, engaging with prospects, answering questions, identifying customer needs, and completing on-site sales.
- Attend community and neighborhood events as assigned, including some events held during evening and weekend hours.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role (Sales, Customer Service, or Technical Support).
- Comfortable with door-to-door cold calling.
- Ability to use technology tools such as laptop, tablet, and mobile phone.
- Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships. Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
- Self-motivated with effective time management skills.
- Positive, results-oriented attitude.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook for email and basic Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
