Who will you be working with? The Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Commodity Manager will work closely with the global leaders for the categories and support implementing the global strategies. The individual will lead cross functional teams in strategic sourcing projects to generate savings and increase value. How will you make a difference? As a member of the Indirect Sourcing Organization, you will be responsible for Supplier Relationship Management and Supplier Development activities in the assigned categories.  You will lead the MRO category and work regionally to gain consensus by aligning the global strategies through reginal implementations. What will a typical day look like? - Create and implement strategic plans which deliver 3-5% annual improvement on assigned spend categories. - Expertise in MRO specificities: critical cost components, pricing models, KPI’s and SLA’s, negotiations factors, engagement strategies. - Demonstrate an understanding of the latest sourcing and supplier management trends including new HR, MSPs, RPO or VMS staffing solutions, tools, and technologies. - Understand the MRO / Equipment market and serve as a key contact within Wabtec for key market players global, regional, or national ones.   - Ensure continuous improvement in total cost of ownership in accordance with business objectives.  - Run data analysis and recommend changes to the supplier panel that will improve cost and service levels. - Lead optimization projects such as process improvements and supplier rationalization - Plan and execute quarterly business reviews with preferred suppliers.  Develop and monitor action plans as required. - Conduct competitive and fair bid and negotiate master supply Ensure that the business objectives of Wabtec Groups and Operating Units are met. - Coordinate regional projects and buyers for categories that fall outside the global scope. - Follow and teach “best practices” of sourcing and supply management - Generate timely and accurate reporting on progress towards objectives - Understand and follow corporate policy including ethical standards.You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary. What do we want to know about you? - Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, labor studies or labor and industrial relations, business, science, or related field - Minimum 5 years’ experience in sourcing or procurement - Experience in supplier relationship management, KPI and performance management. - Demonstrated ability to lead supplier evaluation, selection, negotiation, contracting and implementation - Strong analytical skills (financial, spend, supply market, etc.) - Cost and service analysis and recommendations. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex global or regional teams. - Demonstrated project or program management experience. - Experience in strategy development and execution - Demonstrated success in supplier development. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural History of managing multiple objectives and finding creative solutions to complex problems - Strong communication skills - Demonstrated ability to gain consensus through collaboration - Proficient with ERP systems and eSourcing tools (Oracle, M3, Microsoft BI) - Familiar with financial reporting, manufacturing cost systems and lean tools.Preferred - Expertise in MRO / Equipment knowledge or Category management experience a plus - International experience a strong plus - Manufacturing experience a plusPhysical Demands - Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. - Ability to travel and move throughout office, manufacturing, and supplier facilities. - Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. - Ability to wear required PPE and comply with all site safety requirements when visiting operational locations.Work Environment - Hybrid office model - Periodic travel to supplier locations, Wabtec facilities, and customer sites, which may account for up to 25% of the role depending on business needs.This role is also eligible for a performance bonus. The salary rate for this role is currently $104800-149300 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
