Join us and be part of the movement shaping the next generation of commercial transportation. The Role Xos is hiring an Account Executive, Energy Solutions to join our Xos Energy Team. In this role, you will develop and close sales opportunities across our growing portfolio of innovative energy solutions, including the Xos EV Charging Hub, AC Power Hub, Containerized MWh Hub, and Containerized Solar Solution, along with new products and solutions as our portfolio continues to expand. Our solutions support a wide range of applications, including fleet electrification, temporary and backup power, construction and remote job site operations, utility and grid support, commercial and industrial facilities, and distributed energy deployment. As an emerging product portfolio in a rapidly evolving industry, this role requires creative thinking, strong customer engagement skills, and the ability to identify new use cases and markets for our energy solutions. Success in this role comes from understanding customer challenges, developing long-term relationships, and identifying the right solutions to meet their operational and energy needs. You'll have the opportunity to help shape our sales strategies, expand into new markets, and contribute to the continued growth of Xos Energy. What You'll Do - Develop and execute sales strategies across the Xos Energy portfolio, targeting opportunities in fleet electrification, commercial and industrial, utility, construction, infrastructure, and distributed energy markets. - Identify and research prospective customers through outbound prospecting, industry events, associations, referrals, trade publications, and creative lead generation strategies. - Conduct daily and weekly outbound calls, emails, and customer outreach activities to generate qualified opportunities and develop strategic accounts. - Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through discovery, solution development, negotiation, closing, and deployment coordination. - Understand customer operational, charging, energy, and infrastructure needs to recommend appropriate solutions across the Xos Energy portfolio. - Schedule and lead virtual meetings, product demonstrations, discovery calls, and onsite customer engagements. - Qualify opportunities based on customer needs, technical requirements, deployment timelines, infrastructure limitations, and budget. - Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities for additional solutions and long-term account growth. - Maintain accurate sales activity, customer interactions, and opportunity pipelines within HubSpot CRM. - Collaborate with engineering, operations, service, and leadership teams to support customer requirements, successful deployments, and ongoing product feedback. - Identify customer objections and operational challenges, developing creative strategies to advance opportunities and close deals. - Contribute to market development by identifying emerging customer applications, new use cases, and opportunities to expand the reach of Xos Energy solutions. - Participate in field sales activities, trade shows, customer demonstrations, pilot deployments, and industry events. - Travel approximately 25% as needed to support customer meetings, demonstrations, and strategic opportunities Who You Are This position could be a great fit if you enjoy: - Selling innovative energy, charging, and infrastructure solutions. - Building new markets and identifying emerging customer applications. - Working with evolving technologies and products. - Developing strategic customer relationships and becoming a trusted resource beyond the initial sale. - Understanding complex customer challenges and identifying practical solutions. - Building and refining sales strategies across different markets and customer segments. - Working in a fast-paced environment where creativity, initiative, and adaptability are valued. - Contributing to sustainable and resilient energy solutions. Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of professional sales experience involving technical, industrial, infrastructure, energy, or equipment-based products or services. - Experience managing the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, negotiation, closing, and pipeline development. - Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders and effectively communicate technical product capabilities. - Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across cross-functional teams. - Experience utilizing CRM systems such as HubSpot or similar platforms. - Ability to adapt to evolving products and market conditions in a fast-paced environment. - Experience in B2B sales within energy storage, EV charging, power generation, utilities, infrastructure, industrial equipment, fleet electrification, construction, or renewable energy sectors preferred. - Familiarity with battery energy storage systems (BESS), mobile EV charging, temporary and backup power, microgrids, distributed energy resources, or solar energy solutions is a plus. - Experience supporting RFPs, government bids, site assessments, permitting, or energy incentive and funding programs is a plus. - Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant industry experience is equally valued. - Ability to travel approximately 25% as required. The salary range for this role is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Xos Inc. reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including not but limited to, job-related knowledge, skillset, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business or organizational factors.
