Department: Development Job Status: Full-time FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: Director of Individual Giving Salary: $75,000-$80,000 Bargaining Unit: No POSITION SUMMARY: Amount of Travel Required: 0-75% Job Type: Regular Positions Supervised: None Work Schedule: Monday- Friday (Hybrid)between 8am-5pm, some evenings and weekends may be required The Annual Fund & Events Manager will work closely and collaboratively with all members of the Development Team to meet PPWP's development goals. This position is a key member of the team and is responsible for managing PPWP's annual fundraising appeals, supporting donor relations and stewardship initiatives, and successfully leading fundraising events. Essential Functions: In conjunction with the Vice President of Development and Director of Individual Giving, the Annual Fund & Events Manager is responsible for managing PPWP’s Annual Fund and Event fundraising goals and executing on strategy to meet these goals. This would include: - Co-create and implement an annual strategy, in collaboration with the Director of Individual Giving, to cultivate and steward grassroots and annual fund donors through social media, events, email, and other innovative techniques that attract a diverse range of donors. - Work with the development team and committees to assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing events designed to raise funds for PPWP’s programs and services. Day-to-day activities for this role would include but are not limited to: Fundraising - Own PPWP's annual grassroots fundraising campaigns, such as Pledge-a-Picketer, Giving Tuesday, and Critical Needs Day, and execute an omnichannel strategy for each. - Segment donor audiences and develop strategies and messaging based on giving history, interests, engagement, and donor behavior. - Serve as the Development Team’s main contact for coordinating with the Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Collaborative Fundraising Program (CFP) to ensure that PPWP’s donor communications and activities are aligned and working in tandem with CFP efforts. - Collaborate with the Donor Database Coordinator to ensure all prospect/donor cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation strategies are entered into the donor database. - Manage timely donor acknowledgment and gift acceptance in collaboration with the Donor Database Coordinator and Director of Individual Giving. Event Management - Plan, implement, and manage quarterly fundraising events as well as collaborate with the Director of Individual Giving on donor House Parties and other cultivation/stewardship events. - Lead all pre-event and day-of logistics for PPWP’s special events, including tracking RSVPs, managing event timelines, coordinating with vendors and staff, and serving as the primary point of contact for attendee communication. - Assist the VP of Development with planning PPWP’s Annual Spring Gala, the Bans Off Our Bodies Benefit. - Serve as the community contact for third-party fundraising events. - Collaborate with the Donor Database Coordinator to ensure all event information related to donor stewardship and cultivation is captured into the donor database. Skills and Abilities: Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business Administration, or Public Relations) Experience: - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development - Demonstrated experience managing individual giving programs, including annual giving and appeals. - Experience with digital and direct-response fundraising. - Experience using donor database/CRM systems to track and analyze donor activity. Experience with Salesforce or DonorPerfect preferred. Skills: - Manage and organize multiple deadline-oriented projects. - Produce clear, accurate, and persuasive communications that reflect high attention to detail. - Work independently and take the initiative. - Ability to handle sensitive, confidential materials and situations. - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as events require. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with staff, board members, volunteers, and the public in a positive and professional manner. - Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills. - Ability to prioritize and problem-solve under deadlines and pressure. - A high degree of integrity that garners the trust and respect of others. - Committed to contributing to an organizational culture built on trust, vulnerability, and support. - Commitment to creating a culture of inclusion and treating all colleagues, members, volunteers, and others with dignity and respect. Computer Skills: - Ability to use Google Suite products and Microsoft Office products - Ability to learn CRM and other Donor Database Systems. Stationary Position (Sitting/Standing) - Requirement: Must be able to remain in a stationary seated position for up to 75%–90% of the working day. - Details: Frequently operates a computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone while seated at a desk or ergonomic workstation. Occasional transitional movement to a standing position or short walks within the office environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT Hybrid Office/Remote Environment (2-3 days in office at PPWP Downtown location). The person in this position may be required to attend events and fundraisers held off-site in-person or virtually outside of regular working hours.
