Job Summary
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage, handling, and shipment of raw chemical materials, packaged goods, and finished blends at our chemical blending plant. This hourly role involves verifying incoming deliveries against manifests, preparing hazardous and non-hazardous products for safe transport, operating material-handling equipment (such as forklifts), and accurately maintaining inventory and transaction records in SAP while strictly adhering to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and DOT regulations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Examine contents and compare with records (manifests, invoices, orders) to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Prepare shipping documentation, work orders, bills of lading, and route materials using appropriate shipping methods
- Record shipment data (weight, charges, damages) and correspond with carriers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or non-conformance
- Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for safe transport
- Receive, count, store, and maintain inventory stock in designated warehouse or storage locations
- Verify inventory calculations against physical counts and investigate/correct errors in SAP
- Deliver and route materials to departments using forklifts, hand trucks, or other work devices
- Maintain shipping materials, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure cleanliness and safety compliance
- Strictly adhere to and support all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and DOT rules and policies
- Perform other related duties as assigned for optimal site operation

- Capable of working independently to meet demanding deadlines and shipping schedules while consistently operating material-handling equipment with precisionKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong mathematical skills
- Superb computer skillsEducation & Experience:
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a chemical manufacturing warehouse environment with hazardous materialsPreferred
- Associate Degree (two-year college or technical school)
- 2 years of experience with hazardous materials
- Minimum of 1 year of analytical testing experience
- Prior forklift driving experience - highly desiredWorking Conditions:
- Must be able to work afternoon shifts as needed
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to drive a forklift and pass certification
- Must adhere to all safety rules and policies
