Join an established collaborative family practice in Liverpool, working alongside eight family physicians, three family practice nurses, one nurse practitioner, one pharmacist, and one social worker, to provide primary care to the community. They are seeking a full-time or part-time family physician interested in a diverse, full-scope practice that includes providing satellite services to the community of Caledonia in North Queens at least one day per week. You would join their collaborative team, consisting of The existing physician team strongly values a comprehensive scope of practice and is keen to welcome an incoming physician who is interested in incorporating hospitalist shifts, emergency department shifts at Queens General Hospital (QGH), and/or nursing home care into their work. The successful candidate will provide office-based comprehensive primary care alongside these additional clinical opportunities.
In this clinic, all team members work collaboratively to provide patient care and hold regular team meetings. The clinic also operates a walk-in service for patients in the community of which the incoming physician is welcome to be part of the rotation. The successful candidate may also participate in teaching medical students and family practice residents from Dalhousie Medical School program based in Liverpool.
Queens General Hospital (QGH) opened its doors to patients in 1949. In 2014, a $16 million modernization of the hospital was complete including the creation of a collaborative health care centre. This upgrade was funded by Queens General Hospital Foundation, community fundraising campaign Keeping Us Strong, Queens Municipality, and the Government of Nova Scotia. Located in Liverpool, QGH is a 22-bed acute care community hospital that offers inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services and programs.

Responsibilities
- provide comprehensive, full-scope primary health care to practice patients of all ages and stages of health and illness 
- maintain timely and accurate patient records using a provincially approved electronic medical record (EMR) 
- participate in quality improvement, practice evaluation, and other activities that support the delivery of safe, effective, patient-centered care 
- attend regular physician and team meetings 
- comply with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, policies, and professional standards of Nova Scotia Health 
- partake in continuing medical education (CME), professional development opportunities and teaching (if applicable) Expected Hours

- Longitudinal Family Medicine (LFM) contract approximately $375,000 - $400,000 CAD 
- family physicians in Nova Scotia are compensated based on the LFM payment model or Fee for Service (FFS) Incentives
