Arcetyp LLC is looking for a full-time Family Advocacy Program (FAP) Assistant & Educator to provide on-site supports for the U.S. Army Family Advocacy Program (FAP) and Army Community Service (ACS) at Fort Stewart GA and Hunter Army Airfield GA. The locations are Fort Stewart Family Advocacy Program (FAP) Building 82, 211 Lindquist Road, Fort Stewart, GA 31314 and Hunter Army Airfield Army Community Service (ACS): Building 1286, 171 Haley Avenue, Hunter Army Airfield, GA 31409. We are seeking a qualified FAP Assistant & Educator to provide administrative, program support, training, education, outreach, and coordination services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Family Advocacy Program.
- Receive customers, answer telephone inquiries, provide general FAP program information, and refer clients to appropriate FAP, Army Community Service, or other resources.
- Prepare, review, revise, route, and track correspondence, meeting minutes, memoranda, SOPs, MOAs, MOUs, and other program documentation.
- Maintain FAP records, accreditation/certification files, training files, databases, spreadsheets, attendance rosters, and statistical information.
- Enter and maintain required information in the Army Family Web Portal (AFWP) and other designated systems.
- Schedule and coordinate FAP meetings and prepare meeting documentation and minutes.
- Support Family Advocacy Committee and other multidisciplinary meetings.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for FAP training, briefings, classes, play groups, and prevention/education activities.
- Deliver assigned instructional modules and approved educational presentations in accordance with established curricula.
- Support community outreach and awareness activities, including Child Abuse Prevention Month, Domestic Violence Prevention Month, Teen Dating Violence Prevention Month, and Safe Sleep Awareness Month.
- Develop and distribute approved flyers, brochures, handouts, and other program marketing materials.
- Coordinate venues, event setup, informational booths, outreach tables, and related event logistics.
- Support Child and Youth Services multidisciplinary inspections, including preparation of checklists, compilation of data, and preliminary findings.
- Maintain inventories of FAP supplies, educational materials, and resource materials.
- Perform other FAP administrative, educational, and program support responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage/Family/Child Counseling, Nursing, Counseling or Behavioral Science, Education, or Community/Public Health from an accredited university is preferred. Candidates who are within three classes of completing a bachelor's degree in one of the identified fields may be acceptable if the degree can be completed prior to the applicable ACS accreditation.
- Minimum of two years of experience in family and children's services or community organization, including at least one year involving family violence.
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience involving the dynamics of child and spouse abuse.
- Ability to develop and implement training programs.
- Knowledge of individual and group dynamics.
- Knowledge of issues affecting military families and the dynamics of abuse within military families.
Desired Experience/Qualifications
• Previous U.S. Army military personnel or Human Resources experience.
• Experience supporting Army Soldiers, military personnel offices, S-1 organizations, or similar DoD HR environments.
• Experience with IPPS-A.
• Experience with iPERMS.
• Experience processing military personnel actions, orders, promotions, awards, reassignment, leave, and separation actions.
• Knowledge of military pay and entitlements.
• Experience with DTS and military travel processing.
• Familiarity with ATTRS.
• Experience with Army/DoD finance applications and workflows.
• Experience providing customer-service or help-desk support to a geographically dispersed customer population.
• Familiarity with systems identified by the PWS, including DJMS, CMS, SmartVoucher, CEDEMS, DMO, MMPA, and CITIBANK Commercial Card systems.
Other Requirements
- Must successfully complete required criminal history, installation records, FBI fingerprint, and other applicable background investigations, including requirements associated with recurring contact with children.
- Must be able to satisfy Child Care National Agency Check (CNACI) requirements.
- Must complete applicable Government-required security, privacy, information assurance, records management, antiterrorism, OPSEC, and related training.
- Must have reliable transportation for travel between Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield, and approved local locations as required.
- Spanish-language skills are a plus.
Security and Background Requirements
Personnel must satisfy applicable Government security and suitability requirements and complete the required security investigative documentation.
Min. Citizenship Status Required: U.S Citizenship and must be meet suitability screening for working in a federal government environment, must pass a background check.
