We are looking for an experienced Regional Security Manager – APAC to lead physical security across the Asia-Pacific region and help establish a consistent, scalable security program across Nscale’s growing portfolio.
The Role
The Regional Security Manager will provide regional leadership for Nscale’s physical and data center security program across APAC. Based in Singapore, this role will work closely with Global Security leadership, Data Center Operations, Engineering, Construction, Cyber Security, Legal, Compliance, and external security providers.
The role will be responsible for ensuring Nscale’s global physical security standards are consistently implemented across APAC data centers, construction projects, colocation facilities, and corporate locations.
This is a hands-on regional leadership role requiring strong operational judgment, technical understanding, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive security improvements across multiple sites and countries.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Security Leadership
- Lead Nscale’s physical security program across APAC.
- Serve as the regional security point of contact for data center and corporate security matters.
- Develop strong relationships with Data Center Operations, Engineering, Construction, Cyber Security, Legal, Compliance, and business leadership.
- Provide regular reporting on regional security posture, risks, incidents, and remediation.
Data Center & Colocation Security
- Provide security oversight across APAC data centers and colocation facilities.
- Ensure sites meet Nscale’s Global Security Basis of Design, physical security standards, and minimum security requirements.
- Assess provider-operated security environments and identify gaps in access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, perimeter protection, guard services, and incident response.
- Support the development and implementation of contractual security requirements and service-level expectations with colocation providers.
New Construction & Expansion
- Partner with Construction and Engineering teams from site selection and design through commissioning and operational handover.
- Ensure physical security requirements are incorporated into new APAC data center projects.
- Conduct security risk assessments, design reviews, site inspections, and commissioning activities.
- Support construction security programs and ensure appropriate security controls are in place throughout the build lifecycle.
Security Operations & Incident Management
- Establish and maintain regional security response and escalation procedures.
- Coordinate with Nscale’s global SOC/GSOC and local security providers on monitoring, alarm response, incidents, and escalation.
- Lead or support response to significant security incidents across the region.
- Ensure incidents are properly documented, investigated, and followed through to remediation.
Risk, Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct physical security assessments and risk reviews across APAC sites.
- Identify control gaps and drive remediation with site and business owners.
- Support global security assurance programs, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain visibility of regional security risks and provide recommendations to Global Security leadership.
Standards & Continuous Improvement
- Implement Nscale’s global physical security policies, standards, and technical requirements across APAC.
- Identify regional requirements or challenges that may require adaptation while maintaining global standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in security technology, processes, procedures, and vendor performance.
- Support the development of a consistent global physical security operating model.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in physical security, corporate security, data center security, critical infrastructure, or a related field.
- Experience leading security programs across multiple sites and/or countries.
- Experience in data center, technology, critical infrastructure, or similarly security-sensitive environments strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing security vendors, contract security personnel, and service providers.
- Experience with access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, security operations, and physical security technology.
- Experience supporting construction and commissioning of large-scale facilities is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of security risk assessment, incident management, and security standards.
- Experience working across multinational organizations and diverse cultures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership.
- Ability to travel regularly across APAC.

What Success Looks Like
Within the first 12 months, the Regional Security Manager will have:
- Established a consistent physical security operating model across APAC.
- Completed baseline security assessments across the regional portfolio.
- Identified and driven remediation of significant security gaps.
- Established strong working relationships with regional Data Center Operations, Engineering, Construction, Cyber, Legal, and Compliance teams.
- Improved security oversight and accountability across colocation providers.
- Embedded Nscale’s global security standards into APAC projects and operations.
- Established effective regional incident response and escalation processes aligned with the global SOC/GSOC.
- Provided clear, regular visibility to Global Security leadership on regional security risk and performance.
