We're looking for an experienced and values-led leader to support the delivery and continued evolution of Better Connect across Queensland, strengthening partnerships, supporting communities and helping shape a more connected mental health and AOD system. 
This is more than a service leadership role. You'll work closely with funders, PHNs, government and sector partners, identify new opportunities, and help ensure Better Connect continues to respond to the needs of communities across Queensland. 
Most importantly, we're looking for a leader who balances people and performance. Someone who builds trust quickly, develops strong teams and partnerships, and has the focus and drive to turn planned outcomes into action. 
Your role, your impact: 
- Lead Better Connect across Queensland, providing strategic and operational leadership across multiple locations and partnerships
- Build trusted relationships with PHNs, funders, government representatives, service providers and community stakeholders
- Turn plans into measurable outcomes, maintaining clear focus, accountability and momentum to ensure agreed priorities are delivered and intended outcomes are achieved
- Identify and progress growth opportunities that strengthen Better Connect’s impact and presence across Queensland
- Lead and support teams through change, growth and continuous improvement
- Use data, insights and sector intelligence to inform decision making and future directionAbout you 
You are a strategic leader who can work effectively with people, building relationships and creating opportunities, while also maintaining a strong focus on delivery and results. You can straddle both strategic thinking and planning, with rolling up your sleeves and getting stuff done. 
You'll bring:
- Significant senior leadership experience within health, mental health, AOD, community services or a related sector
- Demonstrated success leading people, partnerships and complex service delivery
- Experience working with funders, commissioners, PHNs, government or key sector stakeholders
- A clear track record of converting plans into action and ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved
- Experience in business development, service growth, commissioning, mobilisation or transition activities 
- Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- The ability to navigate complexity while maintaining momentum and accountability
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and partnerships Mandatory Qualification: Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Public Health, Health Management, Business OR a related field with significant experience within the sector.
