Make extraordinary happen
At NCS Australia, we’re the challenger alternative in technology services and consulting. With more than 47 years of Australian heritage, we partner with governments and leading organisations to solve complex challenges, embrace new opportunities and deliver outcomes that make a real difference.
Our people bring together expertise across technology, consulting, delivery, operations, sales and corporate functions. We work collaboratively, challenge the status quo and give our people the opportunity to make an impact — for our clients, our communities and each other.
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Data Engineers to join our growing Data & AI team in Melbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are passionate about data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and technology, and are looking to build a career delivering modern data and AI solutions for leading Australian organisations.
You will work alongside experienced consultants, architects, engineers, and data scientists, helping organisations unlock value from their data through the design, development, and support of modern cloud-based data platforms, analytics solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities. Our team delivers enterprise-scale solutions across a range of industries, leveraging technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power BI, and Generative AI.
As a Graduate Data Engineer, you will work closely with experienced data professionals to support the development and maintenance of modern data platforms and data products. You will assist in building and optimising data pipelines using Python and SQL, perform data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL/ELT) activities, and help ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across enterprise environments. You will contribute to the design and implementation of cloud-native data solutions on platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake, support analytics and reporting initiatives, troubleshoot data issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure data solutions.
A key part of this role will be exposure to AI-assisted delivery practices that are transforming how modern data platforms are built and operated. You will have the opportunity to work with AI-powered development tools and delivery accelerators to support solution design, code generation, testing, documentation, data modelling, and analytics development. You will learn how organisations are combining data engineering, machine learning, and Generative AI capabilities to create intelligent applications, data products, and advanced analytics solutions.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with leading enterprise data and AI technologies while developing strong technical, problem-solving, consulting, and stakeholder engagement skills. You will be supported through structured learning, mentoring, certification programs, and exposure to real client engagements, helping you build a successful career at the forefront of Data & AI.
