ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the early product and engineering team at a pre-seed energy technology startup building software for industrial energy procurement and management. You will work directly with customers and company leadership to turn complex market data and energy needs into useful, scalable product features.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own product features from initial design through deployment, collaborating with customers to define clear requirements.
- Build performant backend services for data-intensive applications and intuitive interfaces for complex decision-support workflows.
- Develop time-series forecasting models for power consumption and renewable generation.
- Create linear optimization algorithms to help reduce customer energy costs.
- Help shape the core technology stack and make iterative solutions to challenging energy procurement problems.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience delivering scalable web applications in an early-stage startup environment.
- A track record of independently delivering full product features in collaboration with customers.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, with experience building robust, maintainable web applications across frontend and backend.
- Experience building user interfaces for complex decision-support systems and backend services for data-intensive applications.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, React, and Python; familiarity with TypeScript, FastAPI, or Supabase is welcome.
- Experience or strong interest in time-series forecasting, linear optimization, and energy markets is beneficial.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary range: €85,000 to €140,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
Hybrid, based in Munich, Germany. The role is primarily on-site, with occasional remote work.
