Packaging Engineer W2 Hiring

Position: Packaging Engineer Location: Fremont, CA / Sparks, NV / Austin, TX (Onsite) Start Date: Immediate Interview Mode: Phone/Video Responsibilities: - Lead end‑to‑end engineered packaging projects for Vehicle and Energy platforms. - Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, NPI, and Operations teams to gather and develop packaging requirements. - Partner with Supply Chain and Logistics to enable efficient delivery of parts without compromising quality. - Provide design direction for protective packaging containers, dunnage, and shipping racks (domestic & international). - Apply CAD and technical design methods including datum structure, GD&T, and tolerance stack‑up analysis. - Monitor KPIs and drive packaging standards and continuous improvement. - Manage expendable to returnable packaging projects and sustainability initiatives. - Oversee project budgets, risks, vendor selection, and change management. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Packaging, Industrial Design, or equivalent. - Strong CAD skills (Creo, SolidWorks) with experience in technical drawings, GD&T, and tolerance analysis. - Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and injection molding. - Knowledge of materials including aluminum, steel, composites, and foam. - Experience designing to standards such as ASTM and Mil‑Spec. - Strong understanding of packaging testing and validation. - Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality results. - Excellent communication, risk management, and teamwork skills. - Willingness to travel up to 30%.   All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
