Arcesium is seeking an experienced, proactive, and business-focused Senior Counsel with 8+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join the Legal & Compliance team within the Corporate function, based in Hyderabad, India. This role will act as a strategic legal partner across the organization, handling a wide range of corporate matters, complex commercial contracts, and employment law issues arising out of Arcesium's Indian and global operations.
What You'll do:
Contracts and Transactions:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a broad range of procurement agreements, including SaaS/technology and vendor contracts, partnership agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), master service agreements (MSAs), and service level agreements (SLAs), reflecting Arcesium's position as a financial technology and managed-services provider.
- Develop and maintain standard templates, playbooks, and contracting guidelines to streamline and standardize the contracting process across Arcesium's business teams.
Employment and Labour Law:
- Provide practical legal advice across the employment lifecycle, including employment contracts, consultancy agreements, and the enforceability of non-compete, non-solicit, and other restrictive covenants.
- Guide Human Capital and management teams on workplace policies, employee benefits, performance management, code of conduct, statutory Labour compliance, and dispute resolution or separations.
- Manage and advise on internal investigations and compliance matters, including inquiries under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) framework and other employee grievances or disciplinary issues.
Advisory and Governance:
- Advise executive leadership and business heads on corporate law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic initiatives under Indian law, including the Companies Act, FEMA, and foreign direct investment (FDI) regulations, as applicable to Arcesium's India entities.
- Act as a trusted legal advisor, working independently with cross-functional leadership including Human Capital, Finance, Administration in India.
- Identify legal and operational risks, and provide practical, pragmatic, and risk-adjusted solutions aligned with Arcesium's business objectives.
- Manage external counsel effectively to drive favorable outcomes within budget.
What You'll need:
- B. degree from a premier or reputed law school or university in India or LLM. from a recognized institute preferred.
- Enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
- 8+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) at a top-tier law firm, a leading corporate legal department, or a combination of both.
- Proven track record handling contracting, corporate advisory, and employment law matters under Indian regulations.
- Experience supporting cross-border or global legal matters is a strong plus.
- Prior exposure to the financial services, fintech, or technology/SaaS industry is an advantage.
- Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders across global teams.

- Independence & Ownership: A high degree of autonomy, with the confidence and maturity to drive projects independently from start to finish.
- Cross-Functional Agility: Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and work seamlessly across diverse teams, global functions, and senior stakeholders.
- Business Acumen: The ability to balance legal rigor with commercial reality and business priorities.
