We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team at our Morton, United States location (11 E. Jackson St.). In this pivotal role, you'll drive operational excellence while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for both team members and customers. As an Assistant Manager, you'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership capabilities, make a meaningful impact on daily operations, and contribute directly to our organization's continued growth and success. - Lead and manage store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficiency, quality, and strict adherence to company standards - Supervise, train, and motivate team members while providing constructive feedback and meaningful support for their professional development - Interact professionally and courteously with customers, addressing inquiries and concerns with empathy and a genuine customer-focused approach - Handle cash management responsibilities, including processing transactions, reconciling registers, and maintaining accurate financial records - Answer phones, take orders, and manage customer communications in a friendly and efficient manner - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment by overseeing cleaning duties and operational standards - Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and supply ordering to optimize store operations - Resolve conflicts and operational challenges with a decisive yet collaborative approach - Communicate transparently with management regarding operational issues, employee performance, and customer feedback - Analyze store performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement and strategic growth - Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and standing for extended periods - Support team members in achieving individual and store-wide goals through motivational leadership - Proven leadership and team management experience in a fast-paced retail or food service environment - Strong math and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle financial transactions accurately and efficiently - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and customers - Demonstrated customer service excellence and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction - Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities - Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and remain calm under pressure while maintaining quality standards - Proficiency in cash handling and money management - Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods - Friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and genuine enthusiasm for supporting and motivating team members - Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed - Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities with a collaborative and inclusive mindset - Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, technologies, and operational improvements - Experience with inventory management and stock control procedures - Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data and identify operational improvement opportunities - Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills (preferred) - Background in staff training and development (preferred) All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
