Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist serves as a trusted resource for employees and leaders, providing guidance and support across employee relations, workplace investigations, accommodations, leave administration, benefits, and talent acquisition. This role is responsible for fostering a positive employee experience while ensuring compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices. The HR Generalist partners closely with managers to address workplace concerns, resolve employee issues, support organizational objectives, and promote a culture of engagement, accountability, and respect. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Serve as a primary HR resource for employee relations matters, providing guidance to employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and performance management. - Conduct prompt, thorough, and objective investigations involving employee complaints, policy violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, and other workplace concerns. - Maintain accurate, confidential, and legally compliant employee relations documentation and records. - Administer and coordinate employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, personal leave, and applicable state leave laws, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. - Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefit plans, eligibility requirements, enrollment procedures, and benefit-related questions. - Assist employees with benefit elections, qualifying life events, and benefit changes. - Identify workplace trends and recommend proactive solutions that enhance employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. - Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. - Support full-cycle recruiting activities - Conduct exit interviews and analyze employee feedback to identify trends, turnover drivers, and opportunities for organizational improvement. - Prepare reports and recommendations related to turnover, retention, and employee engagement initiatives. - Manage offboarding activities and ensure compliance with separation procedures and documentation requirements. Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. - 3-5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, investigations, leave administration, accommodations, and recruitment. - Demonstrated experience handling employee relations issues, workplace investigations, accommodations, and leave administration. - Experience supporting recruitment and benefits administration preferred.   Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Strong knowledge of employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and wage and hour regulations. - Ability to conduct impartial workplace investigations and handle sensitive situations with professionalism. - Excellent conflict resolution, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. - Strong attention to detail and documentation practices. - Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite and HR recordkeeping practices.       Mesa is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
