About the role

JiraGerman
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Production Engineer to be the bridge between R&D and Production. You will lead our new systems through the NPI process, make sure designs are ready for manufacturing and assembly, and validate them in prototype builds. Once in series production, you own the quality loop: non-conformities, root causes and engineering changes, so that what production learns flows straight back into the design. - NPI leadership: drive the New Program Introduction (NPI) for new systems and variants, from first prototype to production release, as the interface between R&D and Production. - Issue tracking: own the NPI issue tracker, prioritise open points with R&D and drive them to closure before release. - DFM/DFA: lead and coordinate design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly reviews and bring production requirements into the design early. - Prototype builds & validation: plan and run prototype and pilot builds, and validate the design, processes, tooling and work instructions. - Non-conformities & root cause: own non-conformity tracking in series production and lead root cause analysis (e.g. 8D, 5-Why) through to effective corrective actions. - Engineering changes: own the engineering change request process, from impact assessment on cost, stock and documentation to implementation on the line. - Documentation & compliance: keep production documentation and traceability audit-ready and aligned with our QMS processes. - Education: degree in electrical, mechanical or aerospace engineering, mechatronics or a comparable technical field. - Engineering background: several years of first-hand experience as an electrical or mechanical engineer, ideally on drones / UAS. - Industrialization: you have taken products through NPI into series production and know DFM/DFA, prototype and pilot builds from practice. - Quality tools: hands-on experience with non-conformity management, structured root cause analysis and engineering change processes. - Mindset: structured and hands-on, comfortable in a fast-moving start-up, and you communicate clearly in German and English. - Defense or aerospace: experience with UAV, aviation or defense programs and ISO 9001 / EN 9100 environments. - Tools: experience with PLM/ERP systems and issue tracking tools such as Jira. - Electronics manufacturing: knowledge of PCB assembly, cable harnesses and IPC standards. - Real impact & ownership: Shape high-tech defense systems and take responsibility from day one - Mission-driven environment: Work on technologies that matter for European security and sovereignty  - Competitive package: Competitive salary, EGYM Wellpass, corporate benefits, and equity options aligned with role and level  - Deep tech environment: Get hands-on experience with cutting-edge drone technology and real operational use cases  - Grow fast: Steep learning curve for juniors, strategic influence and leadership opportunities for seniors  - Startup mindset meets defence innovation: flat hierarchies, fast decisions, and space for your ideas.  - Flexibility: Flexible hours, remote options, and relocation support  - Strong team: International, driven colleagues and a culture built on exchange, trust, and shared success
