Traveling Lead Composite Blade Technician Level 4 (USA)

GEV Wind Power US is seeking experienced Traveling Lead Composite Blade Technician 4 with extensive Category 4 & 5 composite blade repair expertise. This role involves leading and mentoring teams of technicians while performing high-quality, complex blade repairs up to Category 5, including structural and specialty repairs. The ideal candidate is physically capable, safety-minded, and experienced with composite materials such as epoxy and polyester resins, balsa, foam, and fiberglass reinforcement. Location: Throughout USA (and potentially Canada) | 100% travel on a rotational basis Position Type: Full-Time Employee or Contractor Job Responsibilities: - Travel 100% to wind farms throughout North America on an 8/1 rotation. - Lead and mentor other technicians on a team with proper composite blade repairs, up to Category 5 complex or specialty repairs - Perform expert composite blade repair uptower via platforms, occasionally on the ground, and potentially rope access - Perform Epoxy and Polyester resin wet lay up, vacuum infusion, balsa and foam sandwich materials - May be required to perform structural repair of blades - Complete detailed Daily Progress Reporting Documents and QA/QC reports, adhering to Quality Checkpoints - Complete onsite stock checks - Demonstrate leadership with team - Assisting site lead and project coordinator
