Are you a Software Engineer who loves moving fast, taking full ownership of and pushing the boundaries of technology with cutting-edge AI coding agents? If you thrive on building high-impact fintech features, this role is for you.
Your role
You won’t be stuck in corporate hierarchy here, we find hierarchy a difficult word. Instead, you’ll join a cross-functional team alongside product, design, and business colleagues. Together, you own a specific part of the customer journey end-to-end: from landing pages to loan applications, repayments, and collections. Real ownership, zero passing the buck.
Your responsibilities
The interesting part: our lending platform grew 55% last year and has to keep scaling, and we experiment every day with how coding agents change the way software gets built. Day to day, you:
- Build features end to end across backend, frontend, database and queues: TypeScript with NestJS and Next.js, on Postgres, Redis, SNS and SQS
- Connect systems by building and maintaining integrations with external partners and internal services, e.g. credit bureaus, payment providers, our CRM (HubSpot) and our loan ledger (Mambu)
- Partner up with business departments to decide what gets built and why
- Leverage AI: experiment with coding agents and push the boundaries of how software gets built safely and fast
- Keep the codebase safe to change as we scale: tests, contracts between services, alerts, reviewing agent-generated code
- Ship small and verify in production: logs, traces and metrics in Grafana, errors in Sentry, feature flags and A/B tests in PostHog
- Run what you ship on AWS and Kubernetes, with infrastructure in Terraform and pipelines in GitLab CI
- Production support and blameless incident follow-up that fixes the system, not the person
