About the Role: Reporting to the Client Care Manager, the Customs Import Specialist is responsible for processing shipment releases for our clients accurately and efficiently while delivering outstanding service. What You’ll Do: - Monitor assigned entry folders and prioritize shipments by ETA for timely submission to customs - Process entries for ocean, air, truck, and rail shipments - Handle in-bonds, AES filings, prior notices, manifests, and ISF submissions - Review documentation to ensure complete entry packages before processing - Communicate internally and externally with carriers, vendors, and clients via phone and email - Monitor entry dashboards and escalate “moment of truth” issues to the Production Manager - Perform other duties as required Who You Are: - Ability to represent GHY professionally and collaborate effectively - Strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced, changing environment - Self-motivated and able to work independently - Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to meet tight deadlines What You’ll Bring: - Completion of Grade 12 Education - Prior Brokerage Services/Logistics Experience Preferred Working Conditions: - Sitting at desk, 95% - Standing at counter/machine, 5% Position Classification: - Associate Level II/III: Wage dependent upon experience.
