About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced frontline supervisor to lead a team of 20+ shuttlers and own daily vehicle movement and lot organization across multiple locations.
You’ll turn Wholesale priorities into a clear daily plan: assign work, organize staging, coordinate staffing, and make sure vehicles are in the right place at the right time. You’ll spend much of your day on the floor, checking progress, coaching the team, and resolving issues before they disrupt downstream operations.
Success means a safe, organized operation with reliable coverage, accurate vehicle locations, and consistent execution. You’re comfortable stepping in when needed, while keeping the full team coordinated and productive.
What You’ll be Doing
- Build and run the daily shuttle plan, aligning vehicle movements with operations, wholesale captures, and other operational deadlines.
- Lead 20+ shuttlers across multiple locations, setting clear assignments and expectations and following up throughout the shift.
- Own lot organization, including parking zones, vehicle staging, key control, clear access lanes, and accurate vehicle-location records.
- Manage attendance, scheduling, and coverage, adjusting assignments across sites as priorities and staffing change.
- Coordinate with operations, capture, and site teams so vehicles are ready for their next step and handoffs are clear.
- Monitor completed moves, outstanding work, and delays; resolve issues within your authority and escalate risks early with a proposed recovery plan.
- Train and onboard team members, provide regular feedback, and address attendance, safety, and performance concerns promptly with management support.
- Establish practical routines and standard procedures that reduce vehicle searches, unnecessary moves, and waiting time.
- Maintain safe driving and lot practices, responding promptly to hazards, incidents, and near misses.
- Prepare clear end-of-shift handoffs, including outstanding moves, vehicle exceptions, and the next shift’s staffing and staging needs.
What You’ll Need
- Experience directly supervising a frontline team in logistics, transportation, yard operations, warehousing, fleet, or a similar environment.
- Experience assigning daily work, managing attendance and coverage, training employees, and holding a team accountable to clear expectations.
- Strong operational judgment: you can prioritize competing requests, adjust a plan when conditions change, and recognize when an issue needs escalation.
- A disciplined approach to follow-through, including checking that work is completed and records are accurate.
- Comfort using scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and operational systems to track work and communicate progress.
- Clear, direct communication and the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Comfort working on-site in an active outdoor operating environment.
- A valid driver’s licence, a clean driving record, and the ability to operate vehicles safely.
It’d be great if you have:
- Automotive, auction, fleet, or vehicle-lot experience.
- Experience coordinating teams across multiple sites.
- Experience supervising a mix of permanent and agency staff.
- Examples of improving staging, dispatch, shift handoffs, or labour productivity.
Why you’ll love it at Clutch:
- Autonomy & ownership – opportunity to create your own path and lead a high-performing team
- Competitive wages and benefits
- Generous time off program
- Opportunity to work for an ambitious and fast-moving startup
Employment Type:
- New, Permanent Full-Time
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually.
- Health & dental benefits, available starting day one.
- Pay decisions reflect objective criteria: skills, performance, responsibilities, and working conditions
