Our Wire EDM team helps make those parts. We are looking for an experienced Wire EDM Programmer / Operator to join our precision manufacturing team in Hatboro, PA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys complex setups, close-tolerance work, high-accuracy machining, and solving the kind of manufacturing problems that do not come with easy buttons. Up to $2,500 Hiring Bonus! 🔧What You’ll Do - Program, set up, and operate Wire EDM equipment for precision components - Work with Mitsubishi and Fanuc Wire EDM machines - Perform Wire EDM programming, setup, operation, troubleshooting, and process adjustment - Produce close-tolerance parts for medical device, aerospace, defense, space, and high-tech applications - Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, datum structures, and inspection requirements - Perform taper cutting, skim cuts, slug retention strategies, and fine-finish Wire EDM operations - Inspect your own work using precision inspection tools and metrology equipment - Support prototype, low-volume, and production EDM work - Collaborate with engineering, quality, machining, grinding, and manufacturing teams - Maintain documentation, quality records, and process consistency - Help improve processes, setups, fixturing, workflow, and repeatability - Support a clean, organized, safety-focused manufacturing environment ⚙️Equipment & Technology You May Work With KMM’s Wire EDM department includes advanced equipment and automation such as: - Mitsubishi FA-20S Wire EDM with 45-degree taper cutting - Mitsubishi FA-20 Wire EDM with True B-Axis rotating capability - Mitsubishi FA-10P Wire EDM with 0.001-degree B-Axis - Mitsubishi FA-10S Wire EDM - Mitsubishi MV 1200 R High Accuracy Wire EDM - Mitsubishi MV-2400R High Accuracy Wire EDM - Fanuc C400iC-ADV Nano Interpolation Wire EDM with automation - Fine Finish and Micro Finish Power Supply capabilities - 0.0020” diameter wire capability - Core-stitch slug retention - System 3R Work Pal automation - UR10 and UR5 robotic machine tending - Mastercam - Esprit CAD/CAM - SolidWorks - Zeiss CMM, OGP SmartScope, Keyence inspection systems, laser micrometers, comparators, gages, micrometers, and other precision inspection tools
