Intern or Entry-level Software Engineer

Key Information - Location may be fully remote, or hybrid on-site in Reston, VA for scheduled meetings and group working sessions. - This role is part-time and paid hourly with flexible schedules. - Prior experience is not required. Recommended qualifications include computer science coursework, coding bootcamp experience, or self-guided technical projects. - These positions start on a rolling basis every 4-6 months. About the Role We are seeking motivated Software Engineers to join our team. You will gain hands-on experience building and deploying cloud-native applications while working with modern infrastructure and development tools. This role offers mentorship, flexibility, and the opportunity to grow into a full-time software engineering position. Responsibilities - Collaborate with other members of the ILS engineering team to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based applications. - Write clean, efficient, and testable code in Go. - Work with cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines using AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes. - Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize systems for performance and reliability. - Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team Desired Skills (or willingness to learn) - Go (Golang) programming. - Cloud platforms (AWS preferred). - Terraform for infrastructure as code. - Kubernetes for container orchestration. - Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
