About the role

Total Group of Companies is expanding and is seeking a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter to join our established Fire Services division in Red Deer. This role goes beyond standard service work — offering the opportunity to work on diverse commercial and industrial fire protection systems while contributing to the growth of our sprinkler division. The ideal candidate is a fully certified sprinkler fitter who takes pride in their trade, enjoys problem-solving in the field, and is interested in growing into a leadership role over time. Relocation Support Available 📦 A relocation package may be offered for the right candidate. We recognize that the best talent isn’t always local and are open to supporting the right individual in relocating to Red Deer, Alberta. What You’ll Be Doing Reporting to the Sr. Fire Systems Specialist, you will: - Inspect, service, and troubleshoot fire sprinkler systems - Install, modify, and repair sprinkler piping and components - Perform system upgrades, retrofits, and additions - Inspect and service fire pumps and hydrant systems - Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls - Identify and recommend fire code compliance solutions - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications - Prepare detailed inspection, testing, and deficiency reports - Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles - Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes and standards - Support other Fire & Safety divisions as required - Maintain professional client relationships on-site Why This Role Is Different - Clear path toward Sprinkler Division leadership - Opportunity to contribute to division growth and development - High level of autonomy and trust - Diverse commercial and industrial work environments - Backed by a multi-division safety company with strong growth The Ideal Candidate You are: - A certified tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship - Detail-oriented and safety-driven - Comfortable working independently and leading work in the field - Strong in communication with clients and team members - Reliable, professional, and solutions-focused - Interested in long-term growth and leadership opportunities
