Title: Network Architect Location: Columbia SC Duration: 12 months General: Design public and/or private networks including LAN/MAN/WAN (local/metropolitan/wide area networks). Design work includes placement and specification of servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems. Serve as a liaison with network engineers, vendors, and other third-party providers in installation of network. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering. Required Education/Certifications: B.S. Computer information systems B.S. Computer science B.S. Computer engineering Required Skills (Rank In Order Of Importance): Networking LAN/WAN/MAN (CISCO) Network security (CISCO ASA/AMP) IP Multicast EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS/HARDWARE: - TRAFFICCAST - TRAFFICWARE - ITERIS - SIEMENS - SIQURA - COHU - AXIS - CISCO SYSTEMS - CAMBIUM NETWORKS - SIERRA WIRELESS Preferred skills: - 2070 TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS - CONFLICT MONITORS - Troubleshooting – Network Experience with UNIX, Windows, Linux, MacOS, Cisco, Juniper, web apps, databases, strong authentication, operating systems and network security protocols and procedures.
