Your New Role
- Work as a Welder/Fitter in Salem, Oregon, fabricating structural steel components for utility and telecom projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and engineering specifications
- Fit, cut, and weld structural steel components according to project specifications
- Perform GMAW spray transfer welding and FCAW welding applications
- Use plasma cutting and oxy/fuel cutting equipment
- Lay out and fabricate fixtures and specialized steel components
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and conformance with applicable AWS standards
- Use measuring, layout, welding, and fabrication tools accurately
- Assist with equipment maintenance and general shop operations
- Keep your work area safe and organized
- Work on your feet for extended periods in an active industrial fabrication environment
- Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds
