What's in It for You? - $26 to $49 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and technical expertise - Consistent, year-round commercial service work - Typical workweek of 40 to 50 hours - Overtime opportunities based on business needs - Company-provided take-home service truck - Independent field service work with responsibility for managing assigned service calls - Exposure to commercial HVAC, refrigeration, supermarket refrigeration, controls, and energy management systems - Opportunities to expand your technical skills across a wide range of commercial equipment - Long-term career opportunities with a family-owned company serving Central Indiana since 1986 - Scheduled on-call rotation for emergency service needs Why You’ll Love It Here - Work with a family-owned and independently operated commercial HVAC/R contractor - Join a team that values quality workmanship, accountability, respect, and clear communication - Get variety in your work by servicing HVAC, refrigeration, controls, and energy management systems - Serve commercial customers including supermarkets, restaurants, retail facilities, warehouses, medical laboratories, offices, churches, and industrial facilities - Handle service calls independently while having the support of an experienced team - Develop your troubleshooting and technical skills across different equipment, systems, and commercial environments - Work for an established contractor with long-standing customer relationships throughout Central Indiana Your New Role - Work as a Commercial HVAC/R Technician serving customers in the Indianapolis, Indiana area - Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment - Perform preventive maintenance on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and energy management systems - Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls-related problems - Perform equipment startups, diagnostics, repairs, adjustments, and system testing - Service rooftop units (RTUs), air handlers, furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, exhaust fans, and related commercial HVAC equipment - Service walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in equipment, ice machines, commercial food service equipment, and medical or laboratory refrigeration systems - Troubleshoot supermarket refrigeration equipment, including low-temperature and medium-temperature cases and parallel rack systems - Repair and replace defective components and adjust controls as needed for proper system operation - Work with Direct Digital Controls (DDC), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Building Automation Systems (BAS), depending on the service call - Read wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment documentation - Explain diagnostic findings and recommended repairs clearly to customers - Complete service reports and required documentation accurately - Maintain your company vehicle, tools, equipment, and service inventory - Participate in the scheduled on-call rotation - Provide professional, dependable service while representing Samsun Mechanical at customer locations Hiring Expectations: Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience.
