Lead HVAC Service Technician

What's in it for You? - Earn $70,000 to $120,000 per year based on experience and qualifications. - Work a full time Monday through Friday schedule, approximately 7:30 AM to 4:00 or 4:30 PM. - Receive time and a half overtime pay when jobs require additional hours. - Enjoy no routine weekend work. - Earn additional performance based pay equal to 5 percent on qualifying new HVAC equipment sales. - Access performance based bonus opportunities. - Receive a 50 percent employer contribution toward medical, dental, and vision insurance after successful completion of the 90 day introductory period. - A company vehicle may be assigned after a successful field evaluation. Your New Role - Report each day to the company warehouse in the Harahan and Elmwood area before traveling to assigned job sites. - Diagnose, service, repair, maintain, and install residential HVAC systems throughout New Orleans, Metairie, Kenner, and Mandeville, Louisiana. - Lead technicians and installers on assigned HVAC job sites. - Serve as the primary job site contact and help keep projects organized and on schedule. - Make sure HVAC work is performed safely, professionally, and according to company standards and applicable local codes. - Explain system concerns, repair options, and recommendations clearly to homeowners. - Perform final quality inspections before projects are completed. - Verify that materials, equipment, and workmanship meet company standards. - Accurately complete job documentation, photos, invoices, and reports using company software. - Keep job sites organized and professional. - Train and mentor junior HVAC technicians and apprentices. - Properly care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment. - Recognize appropriate opportunities for HVAC equipment replacement or system improvements when those solutions genuinely benefit the customer. - Represent Chill Out A/C & Heating with professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
