Job Summary: Responsible for assisting management in the general business operations of the company by possessing a lead role in the development, implementation, and compliance of Recruiting functions, policies, procedures, and programs. This position serves as a subject matter resource to managers, promoting the Company's brand across various professional networks, and is responsible for the identification and acquisition of quality talent to meet staffing needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include: The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be primarily involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities: - Use discretion and independent judgment and professional skills to perform daily duties and to plan strategies and initiatives related to workforce planning and recruiting. - Participate in developing department goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems, and make recommendations for improvements. - Partner with the HR team and Management to lead the development of a cost-effective recruiting strategy for each assigned market that will attract quality candidates. - Coach and counsel hiring managers on the recruiting process, interviewing techniques, their hiring expectations, and other areas related to the pre-employment process. - Develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, colleagues, and the rest of the HR team. - Regularly and proactively communicate with all hiring managers to stay abreast of staffing needs. - Leverage social media and other platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, networking, etc.) to proactively develop a talent pipeline for future needs. - Strategically post openings and source candidates. - Promote employee referrals. - Screen candidate resumes. - Conduct thorough interviews using advanced interviewing skills (behavioral interviewing, etc.) and make decisions on which candidates will proceed to a final interview with the hiring manager. - Maintain organized candidate filing system (hard copies and in BambooHR), to include notes. - Make hiring recommendations based on whether candidate is a good fit for the position (evaluating against job description and hiring manager's requests) and company (culture and values). - In coordination with the Regional HR Manager, assist hiring manager with evaluating starting compensation offer, based on current market and company pay structure, qualifications and experience. - Assist hiring manager with negotiating offer of employment. - Conduct thorough reference checks. - Regularly communicate with candidates throughout the pre-employment process, keeping them engaged and informed of status and confirmed start date, while also keeping the hiring manager and HR updated. - Answer questions related to the Company's policies and procedures. - Conduct check-in with all new hires 2 weeks after hire. - In coordination with the HR and Marketing teams, continue to develop and increase social media presence. - Bring any potential concerns to the attention of the applicable Regional HR Manager and/or HR Director. This position will also require performance of the following duties: - Participate in applicable HR department meetings. - Maintain an active professional presence on LinkedIn. - Attend industry networking events as approved. - Other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certifications: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. - 2–4 years of full cycle recruiting experience. - Minimum of 1–2 years of recruiting experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry, preferably with a general contractor. - An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
