Lead Civil Engineer - Hungarian Speaking

Your role at Kanadevia Inova directly contributes to turning something once considered useless - waste - into something invaluable: energy, heat, hydrogen, fertilizer, and beyond. - Lead the civil engineering scope for Waste-to-X projects within a civil consortium or EPC civil works package. - Coordinate civil design interfaces with consortium partners, subcontractors, internal engineering teams, clients, and authorities. - Manage design activities during procurement and execution phases for civil, structural, geotechnical, architectural, and infrastructure packages. - Ensure smooth collaboration between civil engineering disciplines and project stakeholders throughout design and construction. - Support preparation of civil procurement packages, including technical and commercial contract requirements. - Assist in contractor negotiations and respond to technical queries during procurement and project execution. - Report project progress to project management and operations teams while supporting claim management activities. - Travel up to 10% as required for project coordination and execution. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. - Minimum 5+ years of experience in EPC, construction, or large industrial projects as a Design Engineer. - Proven experience delivering projects in Hungary and/or the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region, with a strong understanding of local regulations, permitting processes, and industry standards. - Established professional network and local market knowledge in Hungary are highly desirable. - Proven project management capabilities; PM certifications are an advantage. - Strong knowledge of international civil engineering design and construction codes and standards. - Experience with structural design software and 3D BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks. - Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills. - Assertive and decisive personality with experience working in remote and multicultural teams. - Fluent in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken. Additional European languages are an advantage.
