About 5280 Recovery High School:
5280 is Colorado's only recovery high school—serving youth in recovery from addiction. 5280 is a public charter school authorized by Denver Public Schools that provides a high-quality learning environment within a substance-free community. It is a small school of roughly 100 students with an extremely strong and collaborative community of staff and students. Overview:
5280 High school is seeking a dedicated, collaborative, and trauma-informed Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide mental health support within our recovery high school community, as well as complete intakes and assessments for all students. Additionally, the LCSW will meet twice monthly will all students to monitor their ongoing support needs. As a recovery charter school committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, we serve students who struggle with substance misuse, eating disorders, mental health disorders and other self-destructive behaviors. Our students in recovery, require additional assistance with emotional regulation, coping skills, safety, and crisis management. The ideal candidate will align with our mission to prioritize relationships and student well-being, working closely with all departments to support all students.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts initial needs assessment to gather information on the student and provide case notes, treatment plans and evaluations.
- Compiles and prepares case records, reports, and documents that comply with Medicaid and billing standards
- Serves as a liaison with the recovery team and the MTSS team to identify, implements and monitors treatment plan goals and interventions
- Refers students to community resources to help their specific situations
- Monitors students mental health and overall well being
- Runs individual and group mental health sessions
- Responds to crisis situations
This position is grant funded through June 2029, with potential for continued employment beyond that timeframe.
