Integration Specialist - iPaaS & Enterprise Systems
The Integration Specialist serves as the primary administrator and flow designer for our cloud Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) ecosystem (with a primary focus on Celigo, alongside general iPaaS architecture patterns).
Your Role & Impact
This role bridges business operations, IT, and external integration agencies by configuring, maintaining, and scaling data pipelines across enterprise platforms, including ERP, CRM, E-commerce shop systems (e.g., Shopify), and 3PL warehouse providers. The position prioritizes end-to-end process visibility, proactive health monitoring, error resolution, and configuration-driven flow management. While light scripting (e.g., JavaScript) is utilized for custom data transformations and conditional logic, this is an integration operations, vendor management, and workflow orchestration role rather than a software development position..
What you'll do
1. iPaaS Integration Building & Data Flow Orchestration
- Flow Configuration: Build, test, and maintain automated data integration flows in our iPaaS platform (Celigo or similar low-code iPaaS engines) connecting ERP, CRM, shop platforms, and 3PL logistics networks.
- Field Mapping & Transformations: Define field-level mappings, dynamic lookup tables, and transformation logic to translate data formats between disparate applications.
- API & Connector Management: Set up pre-built connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, Webhooks, and SFTP endpoints required for hybrid and cloud application connectivity.
2. Process Visibility, Monitoring & Error Triage
- Pipeline Monitoring & Alerting: Design and manage integration health dashboards, automated alert triggers, and audit trails to maintain total operational visibility.
- Error Resolution & Triage: Actively monitor run logs, diagnose failed execution payloads (e.g., stuck orders, un-synced inventory, customer mapping errors), and re-run corrected data flows.
- Data Auditing: Run scheduled cross-system data reconciliations (e.g., inventory counts between ERP and 3PL) to detect and correct synchronization drift.
3. Partner Steering & Vendor Management
- External Partner Management: Serve as the primary technical and operational liaison for the external integration agency currently building the majority of our Celigo flows.
- Project Prioritization: Manage the integration backlog, guide priorities, and clearly communicate business requirements to the external partners.
- Deliverable Review: Review and validate flow designs, data mappings, and technical deliverables provided by the partners to ensure they align with internal architectural standards and business needs.
4. Operational Escalations & Partner Onboarding
- 2nd Level Integration Support: Act as the internal escalation point for system integration issues impacting Sales, E-commerce, Logistics, and Finance workflows.
- 3PL & Vendor Onboarding: Collaborate with external 3PL warehouse partners and software vendors to establish data exchange formats, file specs, and connection protocols.
5. Quality Assurance, Testing & Documentation
- UAT & Deployment: Execute end-to-end integration test plans, validate data flows in sandbox environments, and execute production deployments.
- Mapping Specs & Runbooks: Maintain updated flow diagrams, API field mapping documentation, standard operating procedures, and error-handling runbooks.
What You Bring
Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in system integrations, iPaaS administration, or technical application support.
Project & Vendor Management: Proven experience steering external development agencies, managing technical backlogs, and ensuring the timely, high-quality delivery of third-party development work.
iPaaS Platform Focus: Hands-on experience building and managing flows in an enterprise iPaaS tool ( Celigo platform experience preferred; experience with tools like Workato, Boomi, or MuleSoft is highly applicable).
Enterprise Application Ecosystems: Proven track record of linking core systems: ERP (e.g., NetSuite, MS Dynamics, SAP), CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), Shop Platforms (e.g., Shopify, CommerceTools), and 3PL / Logistics providers.
Process Visibility & Operations: Demonstrated ability to build automated error alerts, monitor execution logs, and structure end-to-end data pipeline visibility.
Light Scripting & Technical Foundations: Comfortable using light scripting (JavaScript or JSON path transformations) for custom payload formatting, math calculations, and logic hooks; working knowledge of JSON, XML, REST APIs, and SFTP protocols.
