Full-Stack Developer (Based in Manila)

As a Full-Stack PHP Developer, you will build backend-led product capabilities for a global travel platform. You will work across the stack, but PHP/Laravel, integrations, data, and reliable backend delivery are central to the role. - Build new features and third-party integrations across the back end and front end. - Develop and maintain PHP/Laravel services and React interfaces. - Design and manage RESTful APIs and integrations with other systems. - Develop and optimise relational databases, supporting reliable schema changes and query performance. - Create and maintain automated tests to support reliable, efficient software. - Resolve defects, improve system reliability, and address technical debt. - Refine user stories and tasks so work is clear, practical, and actionable. - Work with command and event buses in an event-driven architecture. - Contribute to a hybrid ecosystem of monoliths and microservices running on Kubernetes in AWS. - Apply Domain-Driven Design, clear domain separation, and low coupling. - Conduct thoughtful code reviews and help maintain a clear, maintainable codebase. - You have at least 6 years of commercial PHP experience, clearly demonstrated in your recent work. - You have worked with Laravel continuously for the past 3 years in commercial projects. - You have 3+ years of extensive, hands-on React experience delivering production frontend features. Backend development remains your main strength. - You have practical experience with relational databases, production REST APIs, and secure web-development practices. - You have worked in Agile environments (Scrum and/or Kanban) and actively take part in sprint planning, estimation, stand-ups, and retrospectives. - You write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and take responsibility for the quality and reliability of what you ship. - You can explain the technologies you have used in production and the specific contribution you made to recent projects. - You work effectively in a team and can independently own substantial work in high-availability SaaS products. - You communicate technical choices clearly to engineers and stakeholders. - You are autonomous, self-driven, and comfortable in a dynamic, technically complex international environment. - Travel expense and parking reimbursement: we cover a portion of your travel expenses and parking at the office. - Experience our service: use our cab service twice a year yourself, anywhere in the world. - Free snacks and refreshments from the pantry. - 15 vacation days each year, on top of 15 sick leave days. - Hybrid working model with 2 days from home, plus the option to work 2 weeks from abroad
