Set to open its doors in Spring 2027, our new members club will redefine the private members club experience on Key Biscayne, Miami — a barrier island of rare beauty, just ten minutes from the city yet entirely apart from it. Built around a singular conviction that the finest life is not rushed, not performed, but quietly, fully embraced, the club offers a destination that belongs to no other place on earth.
Paris Society is currently undertaking the development of this extraordinary destination—a stand-alone private members club offering an unparalleled collection of experiences across dining, sports, wellness, and social life. Members will have access to the club's signature restaurant brands: a French coastal restaurant and a contemporary Japanese dining destination; Pool & Beach; a nine-court Racket Club; a Fitness & Wellness Centre; Kids Club and cafes. As we build the team that will bring this vision to life, we are seeking exceptional hospitality professionals who share our commitment to excellence, discretion, and the art of genuine hospitality.
The Director of Membership is the custodian of the Club's most asset: its membership. As a senior founding appointment reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for defining, launching, and growing the Club's membership proposition from pre-opening through stabilisation — building a community that is both commercially successful and culturally aspirational.
The Director of Membership leads four functions that together shape every dimension of the member experience: Culture Programming, Marketing, Events, and Guest Relations. The role demands a rare combination of entrepreneurial sales instinct, deep private members club expertise, and the lifestyle sensibility required to attract and retain a discerning Miami audience — including Key Biscayne residents, Coral Gables and Brickell professionals, and an international luxury clientele.
This individual will be the face of the Club within the community and the primary relationship holder for prospective and existing members, setting the tone for how the Club is perceived, talked about, and grown.
What you'll do...
1. Membership Strategy & Pre-Opening Launch
- Lead the development and execution of the Club's pre-opening membership strategy, including tier structure, pricing, waitlist management, founding member programme, and go-to-market timeline.
- Define the membership proposition in collaboration with the General Manager and Paris Society Group: member benefits, club access rights, reciprocal arrangements, family memberships, sports memberships, and corporate offerings.
- Build and manage the founding member acquisition pipeline from the ground up — cultivating relationships with Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, and broader Miami-Dade target audiences well in advance of opening.
- Develop the membership sales process: inquiry handling, member vetting and referral procedures, proposal presentations, interview and approval process, and onboarding journey.
- Set and own pre-opening membership targets in partnership with the General Manager and Group; report pipeline status, conversion rates, and revenue projections regularly.
- Oversee the management and communication of the waitlist, ensuring a premium, personalised experience for prospective members from first contact through to membership offer.2. Membership Sales & Acquisition
- Drive proactive membership sales through targeted outreach, referral programmes, broker and estate agent partnerships, concierge referral networks, and community engagement.
- Act as the primary relationship holder for all prospective members, leading introductory meetings, hosting private Club previews, and personally managing key target introductions.
- Develop and maintain a robust CRM pipeline — tracking prospects at every stage, following up with discipline, and converting enquiries into committed memberships.
- Build strategic referral partnerships with South Florida luxury real estate agents, private concierge services, wealth managers, and lifestyle networks to generate a qualified, high-value prospect pipeline.
- Design and execute targeted member acquisition campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing Manager — private events, member-bring-a-guest initiatives, lifestyle previews, and community activations.
- Monitor membership revenue, initiation fee collection, and dues against budget; flag risks and opportunities to the General Manager and Finance Manager.
- Oversee membership contract execution, payment processing, and administrative completion in collaboration with the Finance Manager.3. Member Retention & Relationship Management
- Own the full member lifecycle: onboarding, engagement, renewal, and re-engagement of lapsed members.
- Personally maintain relationships with key members — high-profile individuals, founding members, and influential community figures — ensuring the Club retains its most valuable ambassadors.
- Monitor member satisfaction through regular touchpoints, feedback surveys, and usage data; act swiftly on trends that indicate dissatisfaction or disengagement.
- Champion the member experience across all Club departments, ensuring the standard of service, programming, and facilities consistently justifies membership investment.
- Manage the full member communication strategy in collaboration with the Marketing Manager: newsletters, member updates, programming calendars, and personalised member communications.
- Oversee the management and resolution of member complaints and escalations with speed, professionalism, and genuine care.4. Culture Programme Leadership
- Direct and inspire the Culture Programme Manager to design and deliver a year-round calendar of programming that defines the Club's identity and deepens member engagement.
- Ensure the Club's culture programme reflects the pillars of the Key Biscayne Members Club experience: sport (tennis, padel, water sports), wellness, family, gastronomy, and social lifestyle.
- Champion programming that creates genuine community among members — sports leagues, wellness retreats, family days, culinary experiences, travel programmes, and intellectual and artistic events.
- Use programming as a membership acquisition and retention tool: exclusive programming previews for prospective members, member-only signature events, and curated experiences that cannot be replicated elsewhere.5. Marketing & Brand Oversight
- Provide strategic direction to the Marketing Manager, ensuring all membership marketing activity — digital, social, PR, and community — is aligned with the Club's positioning and acquisition targets.
- Oversee the Club's brand voice in all member-facing communications, maintaining the tone, exclusivity, and lifestyle narrative appropriate for a Paris Society luxury private club.
- Guide the Marketing Manager on content strategy, influencer partnerships, PR placements, and digital campaigns — with a consistent eye on protecting the Club's exclusivity while building brand desirability.
- Collaborate with the Paris Society Group Marketing team to align property-level activity with Group brand standards and global campaigns.6. Events Strategy & Direction
- Provide direction to the Events Manager on the Club's events calendar, ensuring events support membership acquisition, retention, and community-building objectives.
- Oversee the quality, creativity, and execution of all member-facing events — from intimate member dinners to signature seasonal events and grand openings.
- Identify opportunities for exclusive third-party partnerships and co-branded events that elevate the Club's lifestyle positioning and attract prospective members.
- Ensure events are planned and delivered within budget, with consistent attention to the premium standard that Paris Society members expect.7. Guest Relations & Member Services
- Lead and develop the Guest Relations & Members Manager to deliver a flawless day-to-day member experience across all Club touchpoints: reception, concierge, sports, F&B, and leisure.
- Set and enforce service standards across the Guest Relations function — ensuring all team members are trained to the hospitality level consistent with a Paris Society luxury members club.
- Oversee the member services infrastructure: member communication platforms, app/portal experience, booking systems, and service request handling.
- Manage member guest policies, reciprocal club arrangements, and member privilege programmes.8. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four direct reports: Culture Programme Manager, Marketing Manager, Events Manager, and Guest Relations & Members Manager.
- Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance standards for each function; conduct regular performance reviews and development conversations.
- Foster a high-performance, member-obsessed culture within the Membership department — where every team member understands that the member experience is the product.
- Work closely with the General Manager, P&C Manager, and Department Heads to ensure the Membership team is staffed, trained, and resourced appropriately.
- Act as an ambassador for the Club's values and culture — both internally to the team and externally within the Miami community.9. Reporting, Analytics & Commercial Performance
- Own the Membership department P&L: membership revenue, initiation fees, dues, programming revenue, and department operating costs.
- Provide weekly and monthly membership reports to the General Manager: pipeline, acquisition, churn, revenue, member satisfaction, and programming attendance.
- Manage the Membership department annual budget, monitoring spend against plan and presenting variances with clear commentary and corrective actions.
- Use membership data and CRM analytics to identify trends, inform strategy, and personalise the member experience at scale.
