Florida Local Network Director Job Description Full-Time | Remote (Florida-based) Reports To: Chief Executive Officer About UNDIVIDED UNDIVIDED is a Christian faith-based organization committed to building meaningful impact through community-centered work, relationship-driven engagement, cultivating spaces of belonging, and moving people into redemptive action for healing and justice in their communities. How we work together is shaped by the UNDIVIDED Way: Open Hands, Linked Arms, Hopeful Hearts, and Bold Steps. Position Summary The Local Network Director builds UNDIVIDED's organizing base in Florida: a growing network of leaders, teams, clergy and institutions who are aligned with Kingdom values, advancing healing and pursuing Biblical justice in their neighborhoods and regions. The role does this through deep listening, leadership development, ongoing training and strategic justice campaigns. Its measure of success is not how much the Director does, but how many local leaders are leading. The Director also shares what works in Florida so it can strengthen UNDIVIDED's organizing nationally. The ideal candidate is relational and strategic, rooted in Florida's communities, and comfortable both running campaigns and building leaders in a remote, distributed team. Role at a Glance You will work closely with UNDIVIDED's organizing team and other Local Network leads, and with church leaders, clergy, congregations and community institutions across the state. About 45% of the role is recruiting and developing leaders and teams, about 35% is guiding justice campaigns, and about 20% is training and shared learning with the organizing team. You will own your relational meeting, listening and training calendar and the day-to-day running of campaigns, and work with the CEO on which campaigns to launch, public positions and partnerships. UNDIVIDED's organizing is nonpartisan, consistent with its status as a 501(c)(3) organization. Key Responsibilities 1. Recruit and develop leaders and teams rooted in their church and community (about 45%) - Hold regular one-on-one conversations with church leaders, both staff and congregation members - Lead regular listening, formal and informal, so the voices, passion and leadership of local people drive the organizing - Build, train and support leader-led teams in congregations and institutions - Identify and develop organizing champions who are leading, building a following and using redemptive power in the public arena - Lead regular trainings on the fundamentals of organizing, both across the network and inside individual institutions 2. Guide and support strategic justice campaigns (about 35%) - Work with leaders, clergy and congregations to name the challenges standing in the way of justice in their communities - Explore possible campaigns with leaders, each with a clear issue cut and a realistic path to winning, and bring recommended campaigns to the CEO - Launch and run campaigns in ways that develop leaders, grow the organization's redemptive power and advance the campaign's goals - At the end of each campaign, lead the team to reflect, celebrate and identify the next opportunity 3. Strengthen UNDIVIDED's growing organizing movement (about 20%) - Serve as an active member of UNDIVIDED's organizing team - Learn alongside other Local Network leads, giving and receiving coaching to grow as a leader and organizer - Name and work through internal and external barriers to stronger individual and collective leadership - Test strategies, tactics and procedures, and document what works so it can be applied in Florida and beyond How We Lead: The UNDIVIDED Way - Open Hands: Listens first, lets local leaders shape the agenda, and credits others by name. - Linked Arms: Builds teams across congregations, neighborhoods and differences, and follows through on commitments. - Hopeful Hearts: Stays steady through setbacks and develops leaders toward growth rather than blame. - Bold Steps: Invites leaders into public action, chooses winnable issues, and names what is not working, with care. What Success Looks Like - A growing base of congregations and institutions engaged with UNDIVIDED in Florida - Leader-led teams that meet, act and grow without depending on the Director to run them - A growing bench of organizing champions who lead publicly and develop other leaders - Justice campaigns that win concrete change and leave leaders and the organization stronger - Lessons from Florida shared to strengthen UNDIVIDED's organizing nationally Required Qualifications - Deep commitment to UNDIVIDED's mission and to grassroots organizing, leadership development, healing and justice. - 2+ years of experience in community organizing, movement-building, campaign strategy, leadership development, or related work. - Demonstrated success developing leaders, coaching organizers, or supporting distributed teams. - Strong understanding of relational organizing, power-building, and campaign strategy. - Experience facilitating trainings, leadership development spaces, or group learning. - Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trust across diverse communities and leadership styles. - Strong organizational skills and systems thinking; able to manage multiple priorities and complex projects at once. - Steadiness and sound judgment in fast-paced, evolving, and high-pressure environments. - Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time, and to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications - Existing relationships with churches, clergy, or community institutions in Florida. - Experience in faith-based organizing or faith-rooted justice work. - Experience managing or coordinating distributed organizing networks or grassroots teams. - Experience facilitating political education or leadership formation spaces. - Experience working in coalition environments and cross-organizational partnerships. - Bilingual or multilingual skills, especially Spanish or Haitian Creole. Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: $70,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience. - Retirement plan and employer 401(k) contribution. - Health, dental, and vision insurance. - Paid time off and holidays. - Professional development opportunities. Physical Requirements & Work Environment This is a full-time remote position based in Florida. Employees regularly use standard equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing tools to collaborate with teams and leadership. Travel within Florida is about 15% of the time. Attendance at two annual staff retreats is required, along with occasional in-person participation at meetings or events. Because much organizing happens around congregational and community life, some evening and weekend work is expected.
