About the role

ComplianceAMLGo
OUR MISSION AND VISION At Solidgate, our mission is clear: to empower outstanding entrepreneurs to build exceptional internet companies. We exist to fuel the builders — the ones shaping the digital economy — with the financial infrastructure they deserve. To achieve that, we’re on a bold path: to become the #1 payments orchestration platform in the world. We believe the future of payments is shaped by people who think big, take ownership, and bring curiosity and drive to everything they do. That’s exactly the kind of teammates we want on board. We're building the #1 payment orchestrator in the world — and the names behind us prove it. Clients include Bolt, Ajax, Nova Post, MEGOGO. Trusted by giants like J.P. Morgan. Ranked #2 in the "Employer of the Year 2026" award by Forbes Ukraine.   ABOUT THE ROLE Solidgate is launching crypto, card issuing, marketplace/payment facilitation, and new licensing projects, and every one of them has to launch compliant by design. We’re looking for a Senior Regulatory Compliance Officer to make that happen: to take a new regulation from the moment it appears to the moment it’s embedded in how we work, deciding what it means for us, where to start, who to involve, and how to get it delivered. This is not a narrow, operational role. You’ll run your own processes independently, work side by side with Product, Finance, and Tech, and have a seat at the table where strategic decisions are made. Compliance here is a competitive advantage, not a roadblock, and your work directly shapes how fast the business can grow across jurisdictions from Europe and the US to LATAM and Asia. If you love decoding regulations and want real influence in a licensed EU fintech, this is where rules meet revolution. What you’ll own — Own regulatory reporting for the EMI and the overall reporting framework: accurate, complete, always on time — Lead the full cycle of regulatory change, from horizon scanning and interpretation to implementation across the company — Be the main point of contact for regulators (CBC, CySEC) and lead communication during inspections, audits, and reviews — Own and develop internal policies and frameworks aligned with CBC, CySEC, EBA, and EU requirements — Lead licensing processes and the compliance side of launching new financial services and entering new jurisdictions — Run impact assessments for product launches and operational changes, and advise leadership on regulatory risk — Design compliance processes together with Product, Finance, and Tech, and embed them into daily operations — Oversee due diligence and risk monitoring for merchants, partners, and providers — Constantly raise the bar for our controls, tools, and processes to match best-in-class standards You’re a great fit if you have — Degree in Law, International Law, International Business or Relations, or a related field — 4+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, with a proven track record of running regulatory processes end to end — Deep knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks (PSD2, EMD, AML directives, EBA guidelines) and hands-on experience with a regulator such as CBC or CySEC — Experience leading regulatory change, licensing, or inspections — Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional initiatives to delivery — Strong analytical skills, extreme attention to detail, and sound judgment under pressure — Excellent English (C1) — Ownership mindset and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment Nice to have — Experience in fintech, payments, or EMI environments — Hands-on experience owning regulatory reporting to a supervisory authority — Experience building or restructuring a compliance function or policy framework — Experience mentoring or leading a team — Compliance certifications (ACAMS, ICA, etc.) Why Solidgate? Real work from day one. Own regulatory reporting and help shape how a licensed EU fintech stays ahead of the rules. A scope that never gets boring. Every week brings new requests across compliance, AML, risk, and regulatory frameworks, with no routine. Build, don’t just maintain. Set up processes from scratch and work side by side with Product and Tech. Go global. Work with EU regulation, payment schemes, and regulators across multiple jurisdictions. Room to grow. There’s a lot of work and the bar is high, and we’re open about that. In return, you get space to grow and realize your ambitions. Use your learning budget, earn professional certifications, and sharpen your skills. Launch big. Get hands-on with new services: research regulations, secure licenses, and take the lead in driving projects from idea to launch. Enjoy the ride. A wow office in Kyiv or Nicosia city center, daily lunches, snacks, team events, and all the resources you need to grow. 💌 The Extras: 30+ days off, unlimited sick leave, free office meals, health coverage, and Apple gear to keep you productive. Courses, conferences, sports and wellness benefits, all designed for ideas, focus, and fun.   TOMORROW’S FINTECH NEEDS YOUR MINDSET. COME BUILD IT WITH US. 🫂 Know top talent?
