On Call Studio Production Assistant

Title of role: On Call Studio Production Assistant Location: Boston, MA (onsite) Approved Salary Range: $23-$25/hr About the Role: Join the Boston studio team behind Rue La La and Gilt and see firsthand how our imagery comes together. As an On-Call Studio Production Assistant, you’ll keep merchandise moving through the studio, from inbound deliveries through production to outbound shipments, making sure every product is prepped, organized and ready to shoot. You’ll support our producer and stylist in the studio, on location and on our TikTok LIVE shows. Ideal for someone interested in fashion and e-commerce who’s organized, hands-on and eager to learn how a production studio runs. Key Responsibilities: - Inbound samples: Receive and sort deliveries to standard, and flag sample errors to the producer and stylist. - Merchandise organization: Pull, scan and stage samples in the right studio locations, keeping vendor packaging, SKU tags and apparel tags intact throughout production. - Steaming and prep: Steam and prep women’s and men’s apparel and accessories so every product is set-ready. - Studio support: Help producer and stylist keep shoot days running smoothly, pitching in wherever the team needs you. - TikTok LIVE production: Prep and organize product for TikTok LIVE shows so every item is camera-ready and easy to find during the broadcast. - Location shoots: Help with every part of off-site shoots, from prepping samples and loading the van to managing garments on set, running the changing tent and accounting for every sample at wrap. - Outbound samples: Repackage samples after each shoot by re-attaching tags, folding and polybagging, then prepare return shipments to our warehouse. Experience and Background Needed: - This role is active, behind-the-scenes work in a fast-moving studio, ideal if you want hands-on experience in production. - Highly organized, with strong attention to detail - Clear communicator and collaborative teammate who also works well independently - Able to juggle multiple tasks and meet tight, shifting deadlines - Eager to learn new processes as the studio grows - Experience in merchandising, retail, fashion or a studio or production environment preferred - Able to stand for up to 8 hours and lift packages up to 25 lbs The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employee(s) assigned to this job.
