Medical Collections Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Medical Collections Specialist based in the United States. As a Medical Collections Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting timely insurance reimbursement and maintaining the financial health of a patient-focused healthcare organization. You will manage assigned payer accounts, follow up on outstanding claims, and work to resolve denials, underpayments, and unpaid balances. Through direct communication with insurance providers, you will investigate claim issues and determine the appropriate next steps, including corrections, appeals, reconsiderations, or rebilling. You will collaborate with billing, pharmacy, and operations teams to address reimbursement challenges and help ensure patients maintain access to essential infusion therapies. The role requires strong attention to detail, persistence, sound judgment, and consistent ownership of collection activities. You will work remotely in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment, following a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to efficient revenue-cycle operations while supporting continuity of patient care.
