The Surgery Department is looking for a Surgical Technician to join their growing team!   Hours: Varies   Weekend and call rotation will be required  Position Summary: The Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and supporting the surgical team. This role ensures instruments and supplies are available and functioning properly to promote safe, efficient patient care. Education and Training Required: - Certified Surgical Technologist. - BLS certification. - Meets health requirements. Experience: - Previous experience in surgical care services with knowledge of aseptic principles preferred. Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Must be able to deal with multiple priorities calmly. - Good organizational skills. - Good time management skills, can prioritize. - Resourceful – aware of resources available for use. - Able to work independently. - Quick learner. - Able to work with all types of people. - Communication skills. - Requires decision-making and problem-solving skills. - Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills. - Must have an understanding of the physical and emotional stresses that occur with illness and disease and be able to work with individuals under these stresses - Must be able to interact and practice in collaboration with a variety of healthcare professionals. - Must have the ability to motivate people and create a positive work environment. - Must have the ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively. - Must display a high degree of emotional maturity while keeping difficult situations in proper perspective.
