Head of Production

Vilgain makes high-quality food - clean, functional ingredients, no shortcuts, no filler additives. What will you do? - Own end-to-end production across ambient and fresh: capacity planning, resource allocation and cost per unit - Scale production capacity to support Vilgain’s growth while keeping quality and costs where they should be - Lead and develop the production teams with clear expectations and accountability - Find bottlenecks, cut waste and improve productivity through continuous improvement - Introduce new technologies, automation and manufacturing processes - Own food safety and certifications (HACCP, ISO 22000, IFS), plus health, safety and fire protection compliance - Work with NPD, QA, R&D and Procurement on product launches and manufacturing improvements - Set and track production KPIs (OEE, cost per unit, output, on-time delivery, quality) and report directly to the CEO What do we expect from you? - You’ve led food manufacturing operations, ideally in food, nutrition or supplements, and can show where you increased capacity, cut costs or improved efficiency - You’ve built and led production teams that perform - Hands-on experience with HACCP, ISO 22000 or IFS - Strong grasp of production planning, capacity management and cost optimization - Experience with procurement, suppliers and commercial negotiations - You make operational decisions based on data - Fluent Czech and good English [adjust as needed] - You take ownership and don’t need to be chased to finish things - You make good decisions on your own, without a playbook to follow - You’d rather get it right than just get it done What we offer: - You’ll get real ownership from day one, not just a seat at the table.
