About the role
UX DesignUI DesignDesign SystemsQuality Assurance
We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with a strong focus on UI and UX to shape how candidates and companies use Instaffo. Together with a PM and engineers, you take problems from the first customer insight to a shipped, measured feature. You design the UI/UX in Claude Design, write and deploy the code with Claude Code, and run the experiment that tells us whether it worked. You own the whole loop, so you're not blocked by handovers. If you have a strong eye for design and already work agentically, this role gives you more ownership than most product roles.
Why this role
- ? High impact. You work on problems that directly shape how talents find jobs and how companies hire, and you see your work live with users, not in a handover.
- ? No waiting. You own design and delivery, so you can discover a problem, own it and ship the fix yourself.
- ? High support. Senior engineers review your code, shared quality standards tell you what good looks like, and our agent setup (skills, reviewer agents, UI-review agents) catches issues early.
- ? Growth. This is where product roles are heading. You'll combine design, product and engineering skills in a team that already works this way.
- ? Understand the problem. With a PM, you validate the customer problem using our data, our repository of user insights and, when needed, research with talents and recruiters. You frame the work, slice it into shippable increments and set the metrics that say whether it worked.
- ? Design the solution. You own interaction and visual design in Claude Design, from signup and profiles to job discovery, applications, sourcing and pipeline tools. You bring a strong repertoire of ideas grounded in UX best practices, and you keep the product simple and consistent.
- ? Build and ship it. You write and deploy the code with Claude Code and take it through every step: code, review, QA, deploy. You're responsible for getting your code to our standards so it's production-ready, with code reviews and shared quality standards to support you.
- ? Test it. You turn your ideas into hypotheses, build the A/B test variants and read the results with a PM. You stay on a feature until it solves the problem for users.
- ? Grow the design system. You spot recurring patterns across the product and turn them into design-system standards, tokens, components and docs, so every team builds from the same system and makes consistent decisions fast.
- ⚙️ Automate your work. When you do something manually, you ask how it could run automatically. You help improve the agents, skills and automations that let the team cover more ground
How we work
- You join a small product team, a PM and engineers, working on one product initiative. Together you solve user problems, and you lead the design process in the team. Teams and initiatives change over time, so over time you'll work across different parts of the product: the talent side, the recruiter side and our internal tools.
- You're also part of our Product Design team, where we share standards, critique each other's work and build our agentic design setup together.
- 5+ years of experience building digital products with a track record of shipping work to production.
- Strong eye for UI/UX, including design patterns, interaction design, and visual craft.
- Experience working agentically, including building or improving your own agent setup and automating workflows.
- Ability to verify your own work, including planning, testing, and handling edge cases.
- Proven experience owning features end-to-end, from problem definition to measurement.
- Proficiency in working with data to drive experiments and product decisions.
You will join a small, agile product team consisting of a PM and engineers, working on specific product initiatives. Additionally, you will be part of our Product Design team, where we share standards, critique work, and collaboratively build our agentic design setup.
