LIFE AT UIPATH
The people at UiPath believe in the transformative power of automation to change how the world works. We’re committed to creating category-leading enterprise software that unleashes that power.
To make that happen, we need people who are curious, self-propelled, generous, and genuine. People who love being part of a fast-moving, fast-thinking growth company. And people who care—about each other, about UiPath, and about our larger purpose.
Could that be you?
YOUR MISSION
Agents and automations are only as good as the data they can reach. Data Fabric is UiPath’s unified data layer: it models and stores business data, federates data from external enterprise systems without copying it, and makes it available wherever it’s needed across UiPath.
We are looking for a Software Engineer II to build core parts of Data Fabric platform. Backend expertise is a must, and full stack experience is a plus. You will spend most of your time on services, APIs, and platform capabilities, and also contribute to the web experiences customers use.
At UiPath, we are tackling exciting challenges at the intersection of AI and intelligent agents. If you want to be part of it, we’d love to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO AT UIPATH
- Passion for Building Scalable Solutions: Demonstrated ability to produce robust, well-tested, high-quality code while adhering to best practices in software development. Monitor what you ship in production, debug cross-service issues, and help resolve incidents.
- Ownership and customer focus: Own your features from design to production, with guidance on larger designs. Keep the customer experience at the center of what you build.
- Drive AI innovation: Build platform capabilities that let AI agents and automations discover and use business data through Data Fabric.
- Backend and distributed systems: Design, build, and optimize scalable, secure services and APIs for the large-scale, multi-tenant Data Fabric platform, with a focus on performance, reliability, and high availability.
- Contribute to the user experience: Build and improve web UI in Angular or React with TypeScript, and connect it to the backend services you build.
- Team Collaboration: Work well in agile teams, contribute towards team alignment, and foster a collaborative environment where ideas and knowledge are freely exchanged.
- Use AI tools well: Use AI tools and coding agents for development (for example, code generation, testing, debugging, and documentation), while keeping a high engineering quality bar.
- Effective Communication Skills: Clearly articulate technical ideas, design decisions, and solutions to diverse audiences in both written and verbal formats while driving consensus.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of software engineering experience building backend or full stack production services.
- Strong skills in a backend language such as C# (.NET) or Java, and a willingness to learn new ones.
- A builder's mindset and a bias for action: you take initiative, turn ideas into working software quickly, and stay comfortable with ambiguity.
- Curiosity about how AI is reshaping software development and the systems we build.
- Solid grasp of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, multithreading, asynchronous programming, and system design basics.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including schema design and query performance.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, agile development, and writing automated tests.
- Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort working with globally distributed teams.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with front-end development using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with React or Angular.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies.
- Familiarity with GraphQL or data mesh architectures.
- Understanding of LLMs and the AI powered API automation.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
