About the role
Project Management
About RSR (a Sia Company)
At Ready Set Rocket, we partner with ambitious brands to solve complex business challenges through integrated marketing, digital experience, customer strategy, creative, media, data and technology. Ready Set Rocket (a Sia company) is building on significant momentum and investing in the next stage of our growth. Our clients look to us for strategic partnership that connects business objectives with measurable outcomes across the full customer journey.
Our Senior Project Manager (Senior Producer) role revolves around leading the planning and execution of marketing and advertising initiatives for our clients — but beyond project delivery, we’re looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of integrated campaign orchestration and client partnership. This position leans more toward a senior-level project management function, overseeing programs that span multiple disciplines and service types.
The focus of our production team lies in project managing the multifaceted, cross-channel campaigns we deliver — from websites and social media to mobile apps, paid media, and emerging technology activations. These initiatives often integrate creative, digital, strategic, and performance components, requiring a Senior PM who can connect the dots across teams and bring complex visions to life.
Your Impact
- Lead Integrated Delivery: Own complex, integrated projects from initial scoping through launch and closeout, often across multiple accounts simultaneously. Connect workstreams spanning strategy, creative, social, paid media, web, and video, managing the dependencies that keep the full engagement moving.
- Own Project Financials: Personally build cost estimates and project budgets in partnership with discipline leads, determining hours, staffing, rates, and timing. Track actual costs and budget burn against progress, forecast the cost to complete, and address variances before they compromise delivery or profitability.
- Manage Scope and Change Orders: Establish clear deliverables, assumptions, timelines, and approval requirements upfront. When scope changes, calculate the impact on cost, resources, and delivery; prepare revised estimates and change orders; and partner with Account leads to secure approval before additional work proceeds.
- Drive Resourcing Decisions: Determine the disciplines, seniority, allocation, and timing each project requires. Partner with team leads to secure resources, rebalance competing priorities, and identify freelance support when needed, evaluating rates and staffing decisions against project budgets and margins.
- Anticipate Risk and Recalibrate: Recognize early signs of budget overruns, resource strain, scope creep, and missed dependencies. Assess how changes affect connected workstreams, then adjust forecasts, staffing, sequencing, and expectations with clear recommendations.
- Build Client and Team Confidence: Partner with Account leads to run productive client conversations, explain trade-offs, and resolve delivery challenges. Give internal teams clear priorities, maintain actionable project documentation, and guide junior PMs while remaining hands-on with your own projects.
What Success Looks Like
- Reliable Integrated Delivery: Multiple workstreams move against realistic, connected plans. Dependencies, approvals, and launch requirements are accounted for, and changes are reflected across the full engagement.
- Financial Visibility and Control: Estimates reflect the work and staffing required. Actual hours, costs, and budget burn are reviewed consistently, with accurate forecasts and timely action when spending outpaces progress.
- Disciplined Scope Management: Teams and clients understand what is included. Additional requests are assessed, priced, documented, and approved through revised scopes or change orders.
- Effective Resource Allocation: Projects have the right skills and capacity at the right stages. Staffing decisions balance delivery needs, team workload, and profitability, with gaps addressed before they delay the work.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Risks are surfaced early with practical options. When plans shift, you explain the downstream impact and lead decisions that protect project quality, timelines, and financial health.
- Confident Clients and Aligned Teams: Stakeholders know where projects stand, what decisions are needed, and who owns the next steps. Your leadership creates accountability and improves how work gets delivered.
- 4–5+ years of project management or digital production experience in a 360 integrated advertising agency setting, with substantial experience leading complex, integrated/360 engagements.
- Demonstrated experience serving as the lead PM or producer within an ad agency setting, with direct accountability for scope, budgets, staffing, timelines, and delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
- Hands-on ownership of project estimation and budgeting, including defining deliverables and assumptions, estimating hours by discipline and seniority, applying rates, and calculating internal and external production costs.
- Resource Allocation, experience determining resource needs and allocating cross-functional teams, including evaluating staffing mix, availability, timing, and freelance costs against project requirements and profitability.
- Proven delivery experience across multiple service types, including creative production, social, paid media, digital/web builds, content, and video, with a strong understanding of dependencies between them.
- Experience project managing paid media campaigns, including coordinating media planning, creative specifications, trafficking, tracking requirements, launch schedules, and optimization cycles with media specialists.
- Strong client-facing judgment, including leading meetings, communicating project and financial status, presenting recommendations, and navigating conversations about scope, cost, and timing.
- Ability to identify risks early, diagnose their causes, and recalibrate budgets, resources, and delivery plans across connected workstreams.
- Proficiency with project management, resourcing, and financial tracking platforms; Kantata experience is a plus. Strong command of project plans, status reporting, meeting recaps, and decision documentation.
