ABOUT THE COMPANY
Logiqal is on a mission to build the first scaled quantum computer, deploying millions of qubits to tackle the world’s most important problems. Our thesis is that you have to build a full scale machine to learn what the actual hard parts are, just like you have to build a full scale rocket before the first launch. We’re looking for a few visionary scientists and engineers to join our team, to move fast and blow stuff up.
Based in Princeton, NJ our founding physics team has decades of combined research experience at leading academic and industry labs including Princeton, Harvard, Yale, MIT and Google Quantum. Our approach is based on neutral atom qubit technology developed in research labs at Princeton by the founding team. Our scalable systems are composed of manufacturable sub-modules, controlled by state-of-the-art CMOS optoelectronics, and designed around a unique computer architecture.
If you’re excited to build something that’s never existed before at the cutting edge of physics and engineering—together with an awesome team with deep technical expertise—come build with us!
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Logiqal Quantum Hardware Intern, you’ll work directly with our physicists and engineers to help build our next‑generation quantum computer. Intern projects are designed to be technically substantial, contributing directly to our optical, mechanical, atomic physics, or software systems.
We welcome applicants from physics, electrical engineering, computer science, optics, mechanical engineering, applied math, and related fields. If you’re curious, driven, and love building hard things, we want to hear from you. You would be a particularly strong fit if you have experience in one or more of:
- Atomic physics, optics, or laser physics
- Experimental data acquisition and analysis
- Programming (Python/C++) and computational physics
- Mechanical engineering
as well as general strengths in:
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to design, build, debug, and iterate quickly
- Working in a fast‑paced, experimental environment
- Curiosity, initiative, and a love of building real hardware
This role is open to current students at the undergraduate, MS or PhD level at US-based institutions. This internship is on‑site at our lab near Princeton, New Jersey. The compensation band for this role is $30-$50/hour, with an additional housing stipend if you are relocating to the Princeton area.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and those received before Nov. 19 are guaranteed full consideration.
