About the role
PartnershipsRecruitingContract Management
Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.
The Community You Will Join
The Airbnb Communications team drives earned visibility and cultural relevance for the brand, delivering campaigns that support direct traffic, brand love and positive conversation. Our influencer function sits at the intersection of culture, content and community — leading social-first campaigns that inspire travel on Airbnb and strengthen its long-term reputation.
The Difference You Will Make
We're looking for a Senior Influencer Manager to lead Airbnb's influencer programme in the UK, localising regional priorities and delivering campaigns that connect the brand to culturally relevant conversations.
The role covers our full influencer remit: earned and organic creator partnerships, and influencer work running through paid media. You'll own campaigns end to end — creator sourcing, briefing, contracting, measurement and reporting — and help position influencers as both a commercial lever and a long-term driver of brand health, while collaborating with agency partners.
Sitting in the UK Communications team, you'll build influencer into campaign narratives from inception, and partner with Brand Marketing and Paid Media so creator content is designed for amplification from the outset, with usage rights, whitelisting and dark posting permissions secured up front.
This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to turn brand objectives into content that is authentic, thumb-stopping and earns attention rather than interrupting it.
A Typical Day
- Own and scale Airbnb's influencer programme in the UK against local, regional and global priorities — timelines, creative execution and performance
- Deliver across earned, organic and paid influencer work, partnering with the regional Influencer Lead and the UK Brand Marketing and Paid Media teams on creator selection, briefing for amplification, permissions and asset delivery
- Build influencer into the core campaign narrative and press strategy from inception, with the UK Communications team
- Identify, vet and build relationships with creators across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube — emerging talent through to established partners — with inclusive, culturally relevant casting
- Write clear, strategic briefs covering objectives, key messages and content guidelines, and lead onboarding and content reviews against brand standards
- Partner with legal and agency teams on contracts: deliverables, usage rights, paid media, exclusivity and payment
- Stay plugged into culture, consumer and media trends — particularly Gen Z — bringing forward creator ideas and campaign hooks, and moving fast on reactive opportunities
- Manage logistics for influencer stays and experiences, including vetting, Host coordination and credit approvals
- Track performance across commercial and brand health metrics using CreatorIQ,Sprinklr and Airtable, optimising with the agency and reporting to the regional team
- Align plans with local Marketing, Partnerships, Affiliate and Growth teams and the global influencer team to avoid duplicated effort
- Lead day-to-day communication and program operations with our respective UK Influencer agency partners
- Identify opportunities with key opinion formers — policy, cultural and news influencers, and third-party validators — for reputation campaigns
Your Expertise
- 8+ years in communications, influencer marketing, talent partnerships or social-first content strategy
- Deep knowledge of the UK creator landscape and strong instincts on what resonates and why, across a diverse audience
- A communications mindset: a track record of building creator partnerships into integrated campaigns, connected to the earned, social and reputation storytelling around them
- End-to-end campaign experience across organic and paid environments — sourcing, briefing for amplification, dark posting, usage rights, contracting and performance analysis
- Confident negotiating with creators and managing external agencies and stakeholders across legal, marketing and comms
- Strong writing, particularly briefs and content feedback
- Familiarity with influencer tools (CreatorIQ, Sprinklr or similar tooling platforms) and reporting that quantifies brand health and sentiment, not just reach and engagement
- Able to run multiple campaigns and creators at once with high attention to detail
- Belief in influencer as a driver of long-term brand equity, not just short-term performance
