Accounting Manager - Onboarding

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Accounting Manager – Onboarding based in the United States. The Accounting Manager – Onboarding will lead the client onboarding function for a growing business management services organization, ensuring every new client transitions smoothly from signing to ongoing accounting support. This senior role combines hands-on accounting expertise, team leadership, and client relationship management across for-profit and nonprofit organizations. You will oversee a team of onboarding accountants and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, taking ownership of catch-up bookkeeping, account cleanup, reconciliations, and financial record accuracy. Working closely with clients and internal accounting and tax teams, you will establish trust, guide clients through operational changes, and ensure complete, well-documented handoffs. You will also continuously improve onboarding workflows, helping the team deliver a consistent, efficient, and high-quality client experience. This is a remote-first opportunity.
