About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Ohio State Lead / Senior Research Specialist based in the United States.
The Ohio State Lead / Senior Research Specialist will contribute to efforts to monitor, understand, and mitigate political violence across Ohio.
This role combines applied research, conflict analysis, early warning monitoring, and relationship-building with organizations working to strengthen community resilience.
You will produce actionable research outputs, including regular situation reports, policy briefs, and customized risk assessments to help partners identify emerging threats and respond effectively.
Working across sectors such as election protection, racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, faith-based organizations, and government, you will help build trusted networks and strengthen local coordination.
The position also connects state-level monitoring with broader national initiatives, contributing to a more informed and coordinated approach to political violence prevention.
As part of a multidisciplinary, fully remote team, you will collaborate with researchers and state leads across the country.
This is a full-time, one-year, benefits-eligible position, with the possibility of extension, and requires strong knowledge and professional connections within Ohio.
